Title: Arizona Congressman expressed support for Bitcoin!
Post by: commandrix on March 06, 2016, 07:29:56 PM
At the first-ever DC Blockchain Summit hosted by the Chamber of Commerce, Arizona congressman David Schweikert (R-AZ) has expressed his support for Bitcoin. What he said was, "This is going to create a revolution. It's so much more than moving microcurrency." http://www.coindesk.com/dc-blockchain-summit-2016/

Like mr. Trump said "these politicians are all talk no action"

Maybe he just wants some campaign contributions.

Well, whoever is paying him isn't paying him enough, or the right people aren't paying him.

This is good news, and I hope there is more support like this in the future. Since the politicians have finally started talking about it, this might convince more politicians to also start voicing their opinions. Depending on if they're getting paid or not, that is.

No dip. None of the Republicans disagreed with Trump that time he said he could buy any of them. I just think of him as that one guy on the stage who doesn't seem to have a filter.

Well the title is a bit misleading since all I red on the article was like 99% about blockchain technology and on two occasions only, BTCitcoin was sited. Everyone is after blockchain only (it has been like this for pas few years) and we all know, those are not in the same path as to BTCitcoin, mainly due to them taking control.

Agreed. He is not the first politician to talk about bitcoin positively. He should put that into actions.

First thing for him is to understand what bitcoin is and the issues that are preventing bitcoin to go mainstream. Then he can come out with some ideas/action to help the growth of bitcoin.

Have to agreee with you.
The article again is mainly about blockchains. But hey I think Bitcoin was named 2 or 3 times as well. :D
Let them talk about Blockchains only. This will also give Bitcoin some nice attention, no doubt.

it's been time we hear something out of US.
every other country is talking about bitcoin and how revolutionary it is, Canada and Japan for example. it looks like this guy is late to the party!
