I would not download any weird apps from Newbies... this is how wallets are stolen on rooted devices. And why the PM? Is there something you're hiding?

Agreed, I had my mobile wallet hijacked once because I downloaded some newbie thing. Exercise extreme caution and if you have any doubts just bail out. There will always be more opportunities in the future.

you gotta be careful installing apps in your phone, its like letting intruders get inside your house. who knows what it could do, it may access your emails or probably send btc from your wallet.  if you are to download the app on playstore, it may just be safe.

How you trusted him. It is a newbie member and there is highly chance to be scammed?. We should always be careful from newbie members who post some service but don't describe their need and work and don't tell publicly what they want. I do see so many scammers like this.

The most possible answer is that, he will ask you to put something like a code when you register on the downloaded application. Something like referral code, so that he will earn something when you continue to use the application. But I could be wrong on this since OP is not mentioning the name of the app.

yep. after all there's an issue about a link that cointain malware or virus, so be careful guys. it's better to ask others if the app is trusted or not.

I tried the app, but not from him, someone offers an app called getgems which is OP promoting, its an app like facbook messenger but with reward, if you invite youll receive $0.25 or 25 gems, OP must not lie and create an alt for this

Why can't you just tell us about the app ? Is it a paid to install app ? More info would be nice, i mean at first i didn't even know what system the app was for. And does this app pay in BTC as well ?
