I could be totally wrong, and if I am then the law is idiotic. And it wouldn't surprise me in the least.

This law does not shock me as I have read kids getting jail when the girl is 3 months younger than the boyfriend and her parents want him out of the picture. Its disgusting that stuff like this happens. I have known 17 year old girls that are more experienced than 19 year old guys. So in situations like that it's a little unfair to punish the guy.
