Hi mate unfortunately but I don't have any idea about this coin but your thread got my interest when I read that this alt already been use for payment on both two largest social media site, would you mine sharing more info about this coin? I think if this one has been commercialized the possibility of making this in the near future is big. increase will be depend of the numbers of demand just the same with other coin.

REDD will go the same path it has always gone. The price ill be low, a few satoshis and once the whales have finished accumulating they will create a pump and support the move up. Once they reach their target they will start selling off to the new traders who are looking to join the pump. Whales make money and once the price falls back to a few sats the whole process repeats itself, its an endless circle of money for those whales. Unlikely that they will quit doing so because it is way too easy to profit like that,

It is important to know who the developer is and in terms of money and as well as connections. The coin has a very large supply and i don't think it could reach a farily high price like Ether, dsh or litecoin but still it might be worthy if you could grab huge amount and sell it for some satoshi profit cause it moves upto 50% price very often.

The supply does not play a role at all.

When the price rises by 100% then you have the same value, not matter whether you bought 1 coin for 1$  or 1,000,000 coins for $1.

RDD is one of those coins with massive supply (almost endless :D) that can never be of any success in price if that is what you are looking for.

although as edmundduke said above sometimes a whale comes by and pumps the coin from 5 satoshi to 10 satoshi, which is a real huge profit if you have RDD but you have to keep your money static for a long time (month even a year at a time) in order to reach this profit!

POS? Does this mean i could've made more reddcoin by having reddcoin?
oops. how does that work?

You have reddcoin in your wallet, you enable the wallet for staking, and then you mint coins (at about 5% per annum)

I think Yobit gives this coin away as a freebie if I'm not mistaken.   Just like hundreds of others and like those coins, redd is headed for the boneyard.  Does fb and the social media sites actually use this to any extent?

I don't think any good improvement with Redd. Besides, trading speculations, there is no movement in the community. Only very few people are talking about. The reddit page and irc is completely dead.

The extra "d" in Reddcoin is because it was made with Reddit in mind. You've probably heard of it. Used  by tipbots and such.  They probably did not "need" to make it any more than they needed to make a lottocoin.

I guess shitcoin investors would still be giving a shit about this reddcoin, I could by just few thousands and dump them once i get to gain just about enough ;D I can see it on exchange sites that i can buy it for just about 0.00000014 btc this won't hurt my butt if i lose 0.05 in case it won't going to work. it seem to be making a big fuzz if social media sites are going to use them.

Most microtransactions are done via Doge. What does redd offer that doge does not?

i guess alt_Doge
+plus easier to acquire blockchain [if you use pain of downloading measures]
+you get paid to stake, whereas Doge is you pay the ASIC network (so choice)

The stake rate is very very low
only 5% per year.

The stake is low. More importantly, for a "social coin" that has been going for two years, not many people use it. See

https://bitinfocharts.com/

In the last 24 hours there were 13,343 doge transactions but only 2,781 RDD transactions. That's poor.

I have been staking a lot of wallet and 5% staking rewards is not attractive for those who wants to stakes coin had a coin here that gives me 100% and my profit here is huge

But isn't that what we have dogecoin for, microtransactions and tipping?  We really really don't need reddcoin.  We probably don't even need doge either but that's another story.

if te facebook and twitter has added it to their payment system then it means that they are going to support it to give it a bright future, the people about all over the world are now on facebook and twitter, so reddcoin is introduced to all of them now people will try to search for it and will continue to learn about that coin, and so will be established in the future if they continued to support it.
