i just got this email Bitcoin Forum <noreply@[Suspicious link removed]

Someone used the forgot password function on the site which sent you the link to your email. That link is valid, so you should consume it by changing your password with it.

As of your profile (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=159352), your email is listed publicly.
Go to this site (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=520313;sa=account) and check the box behind 'Hide email address from public?', if you want to change that.

you know the last time someone posted a link to their password reset page, their account got locked because of security (Wardrick). unless you've changed your password using that link before you should remove it RIGHT NOW.

Good tip but it looks like not having it public is the default setting. So maybe he wanted people to email him I guess at some point.

It is now the default setting, but I now about several times it was (at least by accident) not the default option.
Also, maybe the user wasn't fully aware of the settings, or wasn't fully aware of the concequences of publicly showing their email.
