That link is valid, so you should consume it by changing your password with it. Go to this site (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=520313;sa=account) and check the box behind 'Hide email address from public?', if you want to change that. Good tip but it looks like not having it public is the default setting. So maybe he wanted people to email him I guess at some point. It is now the default setting, but I now about several times it was (at least by accident) not the default option.Sad phishing is everywhere Also, maybe the user wasn't fully aware of the settings, or wasn't fully aware of the concequences of publicly showing their email. |
