UNO had a great day yesterday, up 500% at one point.  

I wanted to remind miners that Unobtanium is available for Merge Mining with Bitcoin, so you can earn UNO while you hunt for a Bitcoin block.  The hash rate is still relatively low for UNO at this time.

I've done well at MMPool.  Since their server reconfiguration, I don't believe they have added back UNO or other merge coins, have they?

So is Uno an ASIC coin or a GPU coin?

I would make an educated guess that people are using ASICs, since it used the SHA-256 algorithm, and is merge-mined with BTC.   Nobody (effectively) mines BTC with GPUs these days.

Yes, UNO was fair launched in 2013. It is SHA256, with fast 3 minute blocks. Pools mining Bitcoin can also merge mine Unobtanium.

You could mine it with a GPU, but it would be a waste of resources with no return.

Just noting for the record that UNO's mining hash today hit 2 PHS!  That's 2,000 THS.
Difficulty rose as high as 91 million.

UNO will celebrate it's 3rd birthday in six days!  This is a long term coin that will have payouts for miners for the next 300 years!!! 

Yeah! And I also noticed the price of UNO has risen on coinmarketcap. The difficulty surge is due to the increase in demand.

You're right, the price of UNO is clawing back. There were two large whale exists a few months ago and also the Cryptsy uncertainty. The whales have swam off, and now the end of the Cryptsy debacle is in sight.

Being merged mined, Uno's hash rate is also linked to the price of Bitcoin. The higher the BTC price, the more hash is burned, and that also helps UNO's network.   But when Bitcoin prices are not so steady, merge mining UNO adds to profitability and keeps things interesting for miners.

UNO's mining schedule has been accelerated.

The minimum block reward is now .01 Uno, since block 1,042,00, about .90 USD per block. 3 minute block target. Difficulty is reasonable.

I thought this name was stupid when i saw Avatar and I still think it is, no offence.  This name just makes this coin sound like a complete joke that no one will take seriously.
