It just came out of beta today - Microsoft, Intel, IBM and 40 other banks have been testing the possibilities with Ethereum. One of the top Bitcoin exchanges is now adding it. Quote Bitfinex is pleased to announce upcoming support for trading Ether. While we are generally wary of adding new digital assets to the platform and believe that Ether’s future as a store of value is quite uncertain, it is, nonetheless, hard to ignore the Ether trading volumes at other exchanges and the many requests we have received from our customers to add Ether trading pairs. As such, we will begin trading Ether against both US dollar and bitcoin on Monday, March 14th at noon UTC. Of all company to ask for support, Microsoft should be the last in the list but then yeah either ETH picked them or Microsoft picked ETH. Either way, its Microsoft's money that must have pumped it. And of course its business, they should earn from it. I agree, ETH seems to have some interesting options to add to the table, and seeing it adopted on various sites and now exchanges is even more exciting. We'll have to see if the interest continues, and what they can do with the contracts they are developing.
