Title: Antminer S7 with single DPS-1200FB PSU Post by: eretron on March 17, 2016, 11:56:56 AM Hello,
did anyone tried to power single S7 with this PSU, it is rated at 100A = 1200W 12V output on 220V network (I am from Europe so this is what I got at home). S7 specs says it consumes 1210W from the wall, so it is quite close. Maybe if I downclock it a bit it would be fine? Anyone tried this? Oh well, that clears up a lot. Thanks for pointing that out. Title: Re: Antminer S7 with single DPS-1200FB PSU Post by: QuentinA on March 17, 2016, 12:20:02 PM You should downclock it a little so it uses 1300w and try it, server psus can take alot without any problem (still check for temperature to avoid fire hasard).
I ran a 1kw server psu at 1.3 for a few days non stop, it gets hot but works fine. It's back a 800w now and has been doing fine for 2 months Title: Re: Antminer S7 with single DPS-1200FB PSU Post by: sidehack on March 17, 2016, 03:23:51 PM I've got some running on DPS1200 on 208V, no problem. Not sure offhand which batches they are, but I tested a board prototype for a week with no issues on one of the 1293W models. I really like how Bitmain changed the design of the miner to make it cheaper to manufacture and more expensive to own and operate.

I run several B1s on ATX 1250w PSUs for months Title: Re: Antminer S7 with single DPS-1200FB PSU Post by: philipma1957 on March 17, 2016, 09:08:21 PM downclock from freq 700 to freq 650
check all stats . you should drop from 4700 to 4400 and you should use 1200 watts at the wall. let us know your hw % if it is under 0.0100 you are fine with the 650 clock. set your fans to 45% your rpms will be 3900 maybe 3700 if your temps are under 60-62 for all three blades you are fine. let us know if freq 650 and fans at 45% work for you. |
