Title: Get an original address back
Post by: raitpngman on March 18, 2016, 12:57:37 PM
So I'm new at cryptocurrencies but hope to not be learning the hard way. I installed a unobtanium wallet on my android phone. I copied down the address. I sent some coins to the wallet, but when I opened up the wallet, the address had changed. How do I get the original address (and the coins) back?

1. make sure that you have downloaded the wallet from a trusted place like their official website and not from a third party link because those can be fake.

2. check what your balance is in the wallet app, it might just be that the wallet gave you a new address after you used the first.

3. contact the unobtanium developers (or the wallet developers) and ask for help after you did 1&2

EDIT:
here is their announcement topic:

Thanks for your quick help. I got the app from their website/google play. There is no balance. I guess it is contact the developer and hope for the best.

Apparently their app needs a faster internet connection than I have.

They told me to reset the block chain. After connecting to a faster internet and downloading the blockchain, all my coins came through.
