Title: Hi there, some help please?
Post by: Ociex on March 19, 2016, 02:53:07 AM
So i just started on bitcoins, now as a newbie i got some questions.

First of all what kind of wallet is the "best" one? Such as in security and what not.

How does one bitcoin?

What is a safe or good way to start making bits without foucets?

This has gotten me like a storm i can't stop reading about it but i'am just a newb hence i know nothing about it.
I'am not really the typing guy, but i signed up seeing as this will now be my new home :)

Thank you for your time!

For wallet, blockchain.info is good for online bitcoin wallet. Easy use and registration, no need verification and remember to save your identifier. Earning bitcoin can also by signature campaign.

Generally, most users would use SPV (Simplified Payment Verification) wallets for only sending and receiving. An example is Electrum and Multibit. However, this isn't the best. Armory is considered one of the best wallet all around with HD seeds and allow for a one time backup of the wallet. However, it does require significantly more resources than SPV clients due to it requiring Bitcoin Core as a backend.

If you know about coding, you can offer your service at the service section. If you want to sell exotic goods or generally goods that are in high demands, you can sell them at the goods section. The most common way to earn Bitcoin is to participate in a signature campaign. Advertisers would pay for your signature space to place their ads and you need to contribute meaningful and constructive posts at various sections of the forum.

Use mycelium for mobile, and electrum for desktop. Best wallets for me.
Never use a web wallet if you are storing bitcoins for a lon time. They can't be trusted with security.
If you want to earn bitcoins, first learn to read and browse through every thread here in the beginners and help section about how to earn bitcoins.

there is not "best" bitcoin wallet. all of them that are known (legit) are good with different features and different levels of security.
check here: https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet for catagorized view

remember the safest wallet is the one that is created offline and kept that way.

Signature campaign is next option which is gonna make standard income in bitcoins.

A wallet base on security should fall on hardware wallets category so try to go with Trezor or Ledger Nano. Try to offer something in exchange for bitcoin, that's the easiest way but not a safe way unless you use escrow as well.

I think for someone new to bitcoin blockchain.info is the best and easiest wallet to be used.
For earning bitcoins as a newbie i would say you should surf faucets for some times but if you don't want to do that then you should keep reading posts and learning about bitcoin until you reach a good rank and then join a sig campaign.

Many user here suggesting blockchain but for me as of now coinbase is the best because there's no fee for every transaction you made unlike blockchain and electrum they have minimum fee 10k satoshi every transaction...
and then if you want to earn bitcoin only signature campaign can give a decent earnings and buy and sells stuff in digital goods is the best.. like i buy potencial full member for 0.015 and i will sell it for the price of 0.03..

I use blockchain wallet and its safe and works really well. And no one "bitcoins" that's really bad English and doesn't make sense. Doing small tasks for BTC normally makes alot more then faucets do.

When i started, I wondered the same thing. I agree, faucets are a waste. What i did was set up a wallet using blockchain.info. Then i signed up with a  signature campaign once I got my account to a Jr. Member, which you will need to do. This will take about 6 weeks.

Yes the fee is 10k satoshi's but blockchain is more secured than coinbase, i heard coinbase dont let you see your private key, so i prefer blockchain and use custom send to payments.

Where to buy some full member to join signature campaign?

For me, blockchain.info is a good wallet as well as xapo.com

Xapo is actually good because it has no fees on transactions, where blockchain has a 0.00010BTC transaction fee on every transaction, but blockchain is quite easier to use for someone new to wallets that is why it is suggested the most.

I'd recommend coinbase, you own the addresses on it and can modify specific things to increase security such as adding 2A to it.
They also pay transaction fees for you

Signature campaigns are the best way to earn if you are interested while you earn "GET PAID TO POST"

Sase,

Did you recently have instant buy limits slashed? Reason I ask is because several others and myself were cut from 1000 to 200, 1000 to 100 and other amounts, odd part was cuts were not all same amounts. Wondering if CB may have had security issues or some other problem.

You can't see any private key in coinbase because is just a online web wallet and they are not the same as blockchain wallet..for security purposes and want to hold your bitcoin for a long time use vault with 2 factor authentic and email authentic and you can withdraw it in 2 days.. is just for security purposes.

If you don't want to invest or buy bitcoins with your own money i suggest to you to earn bitcoins "free" from this forum by just being active and joining different signature campaigns and putting your profit from signature campaigns in a trading site and buy some cheap coins and sell them for a higher price.

A newbie is not supposed to join a signature campaign right after joining the forum for earning bitcoins, because a newbie is a newbie who has no knowledge and information about bitcoin, and signature campaign wants us to give constructive posts, how can someone without any knowledge post constructive posts everday?

you are right, why do most signature campaign, did not accept newbie, because their knowledge is still low, so that it could be spam. to join the signature campaign at least when rank account member. after you've been around to make a post in this forum and have more knowledge

you need faucets if you dont want to invest , there are so many faucets there that is reliable and easy to use. they will give you little amount of sats but it helps. there are some kinds of captchas that pays dollar and it can be converted to bitcoins, you must try it too. then you have some enough btc in your wallet, try to invest it in reliable sites, it maybe grew a little but it helps.

Blockchain.info is a very good one if you are using a clean computer with antivirus and you will have total control of your bitcoins. Hardware wallets are the same thing but safer: "Trezor" for example
