Title: AMD power consumption and Nvidia's efficiency to mine, honest opinion needed Post by: malekbaba on March 20, 2016, 08:51:53 AM i am upgrading my rig
I am trying to get a PSU http://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-power-supply-220g20850xr Will it handle 2/3 AMD card? Currently I am mining ETH. But it will not last for ever. So currently 7950/7970 are good card for mining ETH. Do you guys think that 7970 will be a better option for future mining ? As electricity bill is a matter of consideration, if I want to upgrade my rig, should I buy 7970/R9280x cards or should buy newer cards? Or I should buy nvidia's? I am confused again. Help me please Title: Re: AMD power consumption and Nvidia's efficiency to mine, honest opinion needed Post by: adaseb on March 20, 2016, 04:50:34 PM The cards which consume less electricity are usually very expensive.
That PSU should work since it has 6 PCIe connectors, each of your 7950 use like 150watts or so. Will they be good for future mining? i prefer 7950/7970 cards for mining in future Title: Re: AMD power consumption and Nvidia's efficiency to mine, honest opinion needed Post by: wayla on March 20, 2016, 06:03:09 PM truth is if want to mine now must use ASIC. cheaper to buy ant or zeus.

Most likely ETH mining will be profitable for only another month or so. |
