What's wrong in writing 'watching , very interesting' ?  I wanted to follow that thread so I posted on it. My post respects the forum rules, so what's the problem?

I've read through the thread and saw a couple of post with the same post as you did like they are also watching the thread so I don't know why your post got deleted. Must have been someone who have a grudge on you reported your post for no reason. haha

Its a low quality uninteresting post that adds nothing to any topic. Imagine how the board would look if everyone would do this. Just click "watch" if you want to watch a thread and it will be added to your watchlist, there is no need to leave a reply.

Check the other replies ;) , I'm not sure that the watch button works... I've used it few months ago and I remember it didn't work.

Maybe those should be deleted aswell, then.

Probably because you didn't fully understand how the watchlist function works.
I'm using it frequently, and it works as it should for me.

Maybe ? If my reply was deleted also the other replies should be deleted, but I will not report them.

Because that has happened to me a few times, I now click notify you only get one e-mail which is good.
You will not get more mails unless (More replies may be posted, but you won't receive any more notifications until you read the topic.)

Give it a try.

If you don't report such other posts then for the most part, there is no way for a moderator to know those posts need to be deleted.  I don't think it is fair to complain that other similar posts were not deleted without previously bringing such posts to the attention of a moderator who can delete them.

I think if they have deleted my message... than they have also seen the other posts.

You don't know that. If a moderator is reviewing a report regarding a single post that says "watching" then there is no real reason why the moderator would review the other posts in such thread.

Post #6 and #7 have been deleted, #10 stayed and IMHO "compiling" is quite different from "watching".

So are you supposing that the mod is not 'transferred' directly in that thread (when he is reviewing the report) but he deletes the post from another page where there is in the single reported post?


Waiting more information about this (but most probably he doesn't see directly the thread, but he reviews them from another page).

Okay, I have replied with a new message .. and hope that this time it will not be deleted.


Lock the thread, so only a mod can reply (if he wants).

It's likely that your post was reported and the mod that handled it didn't check the rest of the page. I cleaned it up earlier(after you started this thread we got reports on the other low value posts as well).
'Watching this', much like '+1' posts, are deleted for not adding to the discussion. One can use the watch button, so a 'watching this' post is redundant and also clutters the thread.
