Title: Scannable addresses. Please help
Post by: watashi-kokoto on March 20, 2016, 11:47:27 PM
I'm designing special scannable address format. See:
http://scanaddress.ucoz.com.global.prod.fastly.net/index.html (http://scanaddress.ucoz.com.global.prod.fastly.net/index.html)

Do you like this idea? To help please photograph the code with all your phones

You can also print it and photograph the paper

Many photos are welcome!

different angles are great

shit cameras especially welcome

No, it is not a QR code, otherwise also my phone would be able to scan this image.
I don't know what the goal of this is, but I think it is to QR code address which already exists on the blockchain.info wallet website.
Tell me if I am wrong.

Are you trying to make a QR code that we can scan and also read? If yes, can we call it a QR text code? ;D

Yes you can call it QR text code :D
I'm pretty close to having the scanner working. See original picture from phone camera:

It's not the best possible accuracy, but the basic thing seems to work.
A major challenge would be to add it to some kind of an Android app.
