Who will take control and why? Why it is necessary?

Can you please elaborate what will happen in 10 days?

Make no mistake at all. In ten days I will wake up and have breakfast.

What is this?? A threat? Prophecy? Disilusion? Did someone take Bitcoin off us?

I don't think this community wants to take control of Bitcoin... :D We risk having no one beyond ourselves wanting to use Bitcoin if we take control.

I think the OP is asking for suggestions cause he hasnt got any, hence the "How do we do it?" question.

But why March 31 2016? What is the significance of that date? A Mayan prophecy or something out of Nostradamus?

I suggest the real date should be 1 April 2016.

That would be more appropriate.

It could be that the WE, he is referring to, could be the Classic supporters and Gavin and his co-developers? They might be working on some kind of strategy to increase the

Classic node count, beyond the Core count, forcing a Hard-fork. I hope this is not another bunch of fake nodes running on a cloud service, because that has no value at all. If

these nodes are real, it would be a whole other story. Well, we will just have to wait and see...  ::)

the point of a decentralized system is that no one is having control over it, so this is against bitcoin and it's not feasible

all this core dev teams that are popping up are making bitcoin looking more centralized than before....

First of all I would like to know who "we" is?!
Furthermore I wasn't aware that someone is controlling Bitcoin.
Maybe op can explain who is in charge at the moment.

could be

but also just as likely be the blockstream supporters and adam back and his co-developers.. they might be working on some kind of strategy to increase the core node count, beyond the 12 different implementations count. forcing people to softfork to their offchain future. i hope this is not another bunch of fake nodes running on a cloud service because that has no value at all. if these nodes are real, it would be a whole other story. well, we will just have to wait and see

remember blockstream are just as guilty as classic.
there should be no control and there should remain MULTIPLE different implementations.

im guessing its a blockstreamer.. because this topic is self moderated.. as always

Good luck with that, I don't think it can be controlled by any entity really unless the whole internet falls to pieces and no longer works :)

lol i dont think its possible to take control of bitcoin. if it was possible then someone with bad intentions for bitcoin would have done it by now and destroyed the currency, however i look forward to seeing what you planned in 9days.

Haven't you guys heard? They are implementing SigWit. Every Bitcoin signature will include a paid link to a gambling site or a ponzi scheme. :)
