Title: MtGox Mobile Android Client Error "Method is disabled" Post by: phelix on February 02, 2013, 05:17:43 PM I am using the MtGox Android client because it is the only client I know of that can read private keys from the awesome paper wallets from https://www.bitaddress.org/
A while ago everything worked fine but lately I wanted to show someone how easy it was to send some coins to the paper wallet and it just came up with this error message: Quote Method is disabled: Old bitcoin withdraw method for withdrawing bitcoins is deprecated Please use https://mtgox.com/api/blablabla instead. Andreas' client lets you import/export private keys to a file. If you need to, you can make such a file based on the keys generated by BitAddress.org but it's a tricky operation. Another method is to use EasyWallet.org from a mobile. I think it knows if you are accessing from a mobile and get different results when from a desktop browser versus a mobile browser.
