Title: Are forum mods asleep at the wheel for this section?
Post by: r0ach on March 22, 2016, 03:22:28 AM
You let a banker shill account create 22 pages of "sell everything, price is going to crash to 0 tomorrow!" posts over a 7 month time period, reaching 3 star acct status:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=546102

Look at the post history.  That's what every single post is.  These aren't Jorge Stolfi "I hate Bitcoin" posts, these are just mindless spam posts.

Same thing with the "Kwuckduck" account, which is a legendary account that was sold to some entity that now spams the board with the same stuff:

You obviously did not read my post.  They aren't Jorge Stolfi "I hate Bitcoin" posts, they're mindless spam posts like the hundreds of spam accounts you see created in this section with usernames like "DLJasdfa" that type "Bitcoin ponzi scheme die now!  Sell Everything coin go to 0!"  It's the same shit except without a randomly generated username.

To be completely honest, there isn't really a whole lot going on these days, especially when it comes to some moderation. I have a feeling this board has some moderators and so who have left and were never replaced for one reason or another.

I'm really not sure how many individual people actually still use this forum, maybe it is a lot, but it seems to be less active than it used to.

blitz still moderates and activity dries up with volatility. When a direction is chosen, activity will pick up as it always does.

Nah, the mods are super busy deleting anything that goes against the core devs and their business interests ;)

Banker shills are OK, though.

BTC vol index is @ 1.55% over the last 30 days. It rarely stays down for long.

The mods can delete my 'ETH GOING DOWN' posts but not the bitcoin spam posts.
Bet they are paid off.

I saw very few Eth going down posts, are they all deleted? I saw quite a few posts promoting the Ethereum.

No. That's false at best. There are a lot of different moderators here with different views. Some are neutral when it comes to the 'block size debate', some support Core and some actively protest it.

What posts? If you spam something, then don't expect it to remain where it is.

Good question.
