Hmmm, "former President Bill Clinton, who in 1992 had a net negative rating of -17" was certainly hated by a lot of folks even when times were good and he was well-liked. Bush's and Mitt Romney's unfavourables at the worst points in their respective campaigns. And it also shows that Donald Trump's are the highest of any candidate since 1984. Interestingly, it does not show Ronald Reagan's highest unfavourables of the 1980 campaign. The article says that this polling series started in 1984, so there's no data from 1980 and earlier. |
