Post by: OmegaStarScream on March 25, 2016, 07:29:22 AM
Which one of them have the best service ? I'm not planning to store my bitcoins , I'm just planning to use them as payment gateway for my website written in ASP.NET .

I guess bitpay are more expensive than coinbase , their exchange rates are different and coinbase have a cheaper rates . Coinbase and bitpay have same popular payment gateway
but I would recommend you to use coinbase payment gateway as I stated my opinion above.

I have been using coinbase as a wallet service and their security is also very good , and in the recent attack to my computer when it got hacked, the hacker was not able to crack my coinbase account due to heavy security system of sms and ip email confirmation, so i will recommend coinbase as good service.

both of them are good and reputable services that you can trust. also they both have similar rules. but you might want to check out their terms of services to see if there is any conflict between their rules and what you are plan on doing.
there might be some difficulties with what you are selling and their service since they are operating under US laws.

Personally I didn't used both Of them. My personal wallet for spending and storing bitcoin is xapo wallet. But I heard lots of positive reviews about coinbase and I am hearing about bitpay first time here. If I were you, I'll go with coinbase because of it's trust and security rating.

I'm sorry for taking time to answer  , I wasn't at home in the last couple of days .
THanks you for all your answers , IF you have anything more to add , please let me know . (I prefer people who actually have experience with both services or at least one of them) .

For what comes to the TOS , I don't think it should be a problem , I just own a Private server of a MMORPG's and planning to take donations from players and they will get something in return in game .

Are you in the US or elsewhere? That might be a factor in which one you choose.

Neither is trustworthy. Both are American exchanges. Time and experience have shown that anything American which relates to finance is not be trusted.

Coinbase, for one, is riddled with scam and negligence complaints. Google will tell you all. Use it and read what their desperate users are saying. A third world company operating in a first world society. Try sending them coins. I can bet my golden a$$ that those coins will be quickly and well received. No questions asked. Now try withdrawing those very same coins. It would be easier and quicker for a newbie mountaineer to summit Mt Everest in a winter storm than to see your withdrawn coins processed by this scam exchange.

Bitpay. Expensive. And they have a history of delayed funding of their so-called world class debit cards. Their customers complain about expunged transactions. Transactions with hundreds of confirmations on the blockchain, expunged as if it never happened. Favorite corporate mantra: "there is nothing we can do to help you."

Stay away from both. Both have the FinCen credentials allowing them to legally scam you.
