I am surprised to see that Gemini has not become a big exchange just because of their celebrity status alone.
Maybe it just hasn't become big because their reserves are not as large as some big traders would like but I dont really know.

Lets hope their on a winner with the ETF.

For the most important names are the people making the most important BIP and coding work on actual Bitcoin... all those startups have yet to come up with something that can impress me.

I liked the effort of stuff like Trezor, but other than that I can't think of anything that comes close to the work being done by Core devs and in general contributors to the actual code.

I haven't seen any updates on their ETF for a long time. Maybe it's dead before it was even born.
And I'm disappointed their Gemini exchange didn't really do anything for adoption too.

Can not believe that Brian Armstrong is on that list.
That guy is only making trouble!Has he or his company ever contributed to Bitcoin?!Don't think so.
Furthermore way more developers should be on that list because they are the ones who code and come up with most parts of the development.
Well the Winklevoss bros and their planned ETF is a story for itself :D

Coinbase allow buying Bitcoins safely for many years, especially for those in united states. Coinbase helped adoption of Bitcoin, no doubt about that.

But biggest names and those who we should thank most are early develpers who spent their spare time (without any guaranteed monetary compensation) on Bitcoin when it was worth just pennies, especially Satoshi.

Yeah good point about the early adopters.
I will have to re-check but I don't think Hal was on the list.

Interesting list of names. Most I've never heard of.
I guess we could pick any ten names and say they are the biggest.

Strange names in the list. Coin base and block chain are the ones which are pioneer and started the online wallets
and therefore should be on the top of the list.  and ofcourse Satoshi is the man who created the Bitcoins and these all exists because of him.

No we couldn't just pick any 10 names people here know who is doing what for the bitcoin world.
Maybe your just not into it as much as some but if you had followed any of the crypto news sites in the last 6 months you would have heard all of these names mentioned.

This is more like a list of leading investors and businessmen than a list of the "biggest names." Blythe Masters above Vitalik Buterin, really?

Well from what we have seen from previous regulatory environments in the USA {BitLicense only granted 1 license since it has been in operation} ...I would not think that getting the Winklevoss Bitcoin

Trust,  is going to be easy at all. Trade on the Nasdaq {ETF}, will be a good addition for Bitcoin... even if Gemini has not shown very good figures. It is still early days for both Gemini and the ETF, so

let's just be patient and wait for things to play out, according to their rules.  ::)

Bottom of the biggest names in Bitcoin, isn't really bad though!

The names at the top are generally foreign to me, Blythe Masters I though was just a big pump and dump merchant, but maybe I have them mixed up with someone else.  Satoshi Nakamoto obviously should be number 1, I guess they might mean the biggest active names today.

Santa Claus does not happen to be in the list, something must be wrong.
Not much to expect from Yahoo finance

They messed up on Gemini by reversing a big trade which one of their whale customers said he had placed "by accident". Of course by reversing the trade to stem his losses, they also removed all the gains by smaller counter parties, who were not impressed and left the exchange. As a result their volume has been lower than at rival exchanges.

I did not know that: what a childish move. They can't be considered an exchange then: they are lucky it was not a real btc transaction, there's no such thing as a reversal there.
