What would you do if the bitcoin price would start decreasing at a very rapid pace, for example 50 dollars per day?

I would most probably still hold it as i would believe that it will recover after a few months

I probably wouldn't do anything different than I'm doing right now... Or maybe I'd buy more :) So not voting as nothing really fits me.

You are missing the most important option. Buy more bitcoin! :)

to be honest the option that i would buy more bitcoins is even better than holding, too bad i have already voted

Even I'm new in learning bitcoin I still believe that price will recover back so I will also buy more if this things happen.

i will sell apart of my bitcoin. then i will buy on much cheaper price. that way i can make still make profit.

you might be right though the price is pretty much unpredictable so no one actually knows if the price will grow or not

i guess it would depend on why the price is falling, if the biggest whales start dumping their coins most probably i would sell a part of it too and then rebuy after some time

i would make sure to fill my exchanger with fiat and start buying as much bitcoin as i can.

For i will wait for the price will drop until the price is very cheap and i will buy more bitcoin so that i can make more profit if the price is increasing again..

The question is not very detailed.
Bitcoin is dropping and rising a few times a week.But these are just small movements which don't seem to bother the majority of us.
So you should explain a bit more how much Bitcoin in your case would drop.And for how long.
Then giving you some decent answer would be more easy I think.

Most likely I hold whatever amount I have and try to buy as much as I could so I could make a lot of profit when it starts to go back up and then sell those that I only bought and hold my initial amount prior to drop itself, so it still somehow a win-win but in a longer manner in which depends on the time scale of recovery.

It depends on the reason for the drop.  If bitcoin is dropping because another coin is gaining popularity and that coin has superior privacy, fungibility, decentralization, scalability, immutability....  then I might sell and jump ship.  But only because I value those particular properties.    

If another coin is gaining popularity (such as ethereum) but is easily mutable (can hard-fork without full consensus) or does not offer significant privacy and scalability advantages then I will continue holding my bitcoin because I don't think anything can displace it that is not clearly superior in these areas.

If it's dropping because the security has been broken, then I would sell, if there are even any buyers.

For pretty much any other reason.  HODL!

Price wouldn't drop suddenly without a reason. There will be some huge news preceding such crash. If we were aware of it we could estimate damage it will do to bitcoin price.
For now I know for sure that scenario of total bitcoin crash is very unlikely to happen.

it's very simple. if the price drops significantly, then i will directly buy myself some coins. i always wait for dumps to happen before i start with buying.

If bitcoin takes a sudden huge dip/crash I'd be pissed but just hold onto my coins and hope to see the price recover. Only an idiot would panic & sell everything at a huge loss.

i might sell some for a short time and after the decreasing stopped buy back again. but i would make sure to buy even more bitcoin if the price really goes down.

I would sell a part of my bitcoin and leave the other part waiting for the price to recover again. So if the price keeps dropping, I would make the loss lower by selling the first part

Markets are forward discounting mechanisms.

It will be a very good occasion to grab more coins.

Probably get rid. There comes a time when 'cheap coins' loses its original meaning. This shit is still fragile.

why would something like that happen? $50 a day needs a big dump everyday with no downward resistance which is not happening (maybe one $50)

but if i see the price going down i sell all the bitcoin that i have on hand (meaning hotwallet for trading) and wait to buy at the bottom

I probably will be brought panic to sell. but if I already have sold everything. of course I would buy it again when prices drop considerably

since i have been wanting to buy more bitcoin, the possible lower price is a good opportunity to buy even more than i could before, so i would buy with the amount of money i had in mind for investment.

Well, I have no choice, need to hold it tight...  :) or else, I won't get any profit...But of course I will not be comfortable if it continues to pull down $50 dollar a day and probably be reading news and speculations on why was the price drop..

for me, i will hold my bitcoins and in the same time starts buying. But it's very heart breaking to see the price going down, Maybe i can't sleep at night if that's gonna happen. But i hope not.

The same, I would continue holding and if I have some good amount of fiat I will try earning as much when the price goes very low.

this and also looking at the history of market and also the orderbook shows that there is actual resistence against price going down.

I will sell some part of the coins in order to rebuy it lower with the money I get. Intention will always be to have coins, but not to pay it higher than what I could.

thats what i would surely do too, i believe in bitcoin and i believe that it will become a national currency of a lot of countries after a few years

i would buy a lot of coins and then just wait for an all time high then sell it all and make vast amounts of money without doing anything

Buy the dips.

I would wait for the decline to stabalize a bit so we are certain a new bottom has been reached. From that point on it is a clear buy again, especially if it would drop like that.

It is not a likely situation though.. The chances for sub 300 bitcoins have been plenty and are now gone. Best to just accept this and adjust your buy strategy accordingly.

I have to admit though, that I wouldn't mind it dropping like that for a few days so I can increase my holdings at double the speed (as it costs only half, I can buy double with my current spending plan).

Voted for "I wouldn't do anything" just hodl and wait for it to go up again, which I know it will, its all about how much you know and trust, people who are in it just for profit always end up panic selling and losing.

I would just buy it more because the price would surely grow in the future and make me a lot of money

since we are at the "before halving days" and there is  a big possibility that the price rises to an all time high or even only 2x I would do my best to buy at the dips to add to my cold storage that I had put aside for the future.
but also if I can notice the drop before it happens I will sell some coins that I have ready at hand just to buy back at the bottom with more money.

if the price drops suddenly, I will sell before it drop more because it will be a start of panic selling and it takes time for btc to go up again

no one in the world is sure that the bitcoin price will go up in the future.

50$ in day would be huge fall, and it would create a huge panic for sure but i wouldn't sell my bitcoins

that would be awesome moment to buy more bitcoins because price is pretty high right now, so huge fall would be awesome for every person that wants more cheap coins

i get your point though if the price starts falling it does not mean that it will surely grow in the future i guess

no one is able to predict the price so that is a really weak statement as anything can happen

i believe that i would just sell a big part of my bitcoins and thats it, i would be out of the bitcoin game as it wouldnt give me profit

i hope this will never happen because it wouldnt give me a good chance to make money with bitcoin even though i make only small money
