Title: College student looking to interview Bitcoin users for school project.
Post by: cd4952a on March 26, 2016, 01:49:47 AM
My name is Chris and I’m putting together a project for my undergrad class that looks at how Bitcoin’s price fluctuation affect trading volumes as well as the social dynamics which play into price fluctuation. The “interviews” will consist of an anonymous short (10 min) survey, or email chat (whatever you prefer) and I’ll ask you a few questions about how perceptions and interpretations of price fluctuations with Bitcoin. I would like to interview as many miners, traders, and regular day-to-day users as possible. Sadly, I cannot pay anyone but if there is enough interest I will post the finding of my research on here so everyone can see their contribution to the Bitcoin community. Thanks again, Chris

You can use any online survey and create your own survey and submit the link to the college students.
Its an good initiative to promote bitcoins via survey and amount students.

You can use google survey and share the link on this topic. So many of us can fill this survey and give you a quantitive data... But you need to prepare your questions very carefully to understand your audience opinions...

Google survey is a good option as it is free of cost also. But before going for a survey to college students i suggest that you plan a knowledge base session with the students so they are aware of bitcoin at-least. Going Work and best wishes for you.

I'd be happy to participate in your survey provided I'd be anonymous.  :)

Just send me a link to your survey or anything.

I kind of agree that if you post your questions in Google doc, I will fill it out and sent the doc to you.
This way I can stay anonymous, you can collect one more sample.

How can we be sure that you are a college student and not a member of the NSA or some other dubious organization hiding behind an acronym?  If we participated would we have to answer any questions that might give away our pseudo-anonymity?  It wouldn't hurt to give a sample of the "type" of questions you might ask us.  What's the thesis of your project; do you mind telling, or would that compromise the objectivity of your project?

If you want, you can interview a minor (yours truly), I might have some big ideas about the world that grown-ups don't ;D

LOL, I didn't even think this. perhaps you aren't a man who will trust someone whithout a proof.
but that's good to ask the thesis and probably we also need to know the title of project.
does OP mind to tell us?

If you signed up for this forum, you are automatically targeted for NSA suspicion and further investigation. These agencies seems to think most of us are criminals and terrorist any way. Most of our

information is collected and stored and if you not using Tor or a VPN of some sort, your identity is exposed. These agencies already admitted to collecting all information being posted or communicated

online. { Even if you not targeted as a criminal or a terrorist } The survey or discussion will reveal much less than what these agencies know about you already. { Credit history / bank balance ....} We

live in a world, where very little information is private anymore.  ::)

If you create a poll, that would be a pleasure for me to help you. The easiest way, like suggested many time before would be to create something via Google Docs.

just like any other student from college who i've ever filled their surveys, simply make a survey thru google docs and show it here,i'm sure people will pop up for helping you but if you'd make an event which make people got an interest, just like a prize or whatever which is unique i can sure you'll get bunch of people who ready to fill your surveys, but you need to prevent from abuser whose filling survey more than once

My take is that the only purpose for this thread is so to have a place for those who participate in sig programs to post, thus satisfying their contracts.

I've seen this way too many times where a newbie comes to certain sections and start a new thread that's immediately populated with posts by those participating in sig campaigns, with the OP rarely heard from again, but when they do reappear, the process repeats with a new topic.

No,i dont think he would make a poll,he wrote that he want to interview someone, maybe he have to find people that expert on blockchain or bitcoin, and interview directly with face to face meet.
