Title: Question about this Msdn drama
Post by: Zwicky-Der-Hummer on March 26, 2016, 09:33:09 AM
Hello,

I have a simple question and i really wonder how you will explain this :

So all the sellers get Negative feedback from default trust by selling the so called msdn keys!

Vod for example claim "selling Stolen keys that will stop working in the future.

PLease explain me where msdn sellers steal the keys? you simply get approved my msdn or not there is carding or whatever.

Now some examples :

Sellers who selling like netflix/spotify accounts are as well STOLEN and will STOP WORKING in the future so why all of them does not get negative tagged?

Or sellers who selling other accounts should then get the same no?

I really not understand the drama about msdn

Resale of MSDN keys violates the ToS that has been agreed on with MS. As such microsoft has the right to revoke the keys at any time. This can be different for other forms of keys and the forum does not enforce ToS. Hence the sales are not against forum rules, but suffer community enforce repercussions.

Now some examples :

Sellers who selling like netflix/spotify accounts are as well STOLEN and will STOP WORKING in the future so why all of them does not get negative tagged?

True, the majority if not all netflix/etc. accounts here are very likely hacked. The question is whether someone from DT will go against that or not. There is no obligation and if no one feels motivated to go against the sellers, they will have no negative ratings. AFAIK there are a few people going against hacked/stolen/carded accounts though.

Sorry but then the point is not valid because resale of netflix etc is as well against the TOS .

Which point does that invalidate?

Well if i understanding you, the reason they give -rep is because it's agains the TOS from microsoft to sell keys from msdn right ?

But it's as well against the TOS from netflix and co to RESELL/SHARE accounts :)

so why not all of them get as well =rep ?

Breaking into accounts and selling the logininformation (which is what crackers do) isn't permitted by Netflix of course. It's also against the forum's rules. Mods have recently started being more active getting those topic down but some suspicious ones still stay up for a while somehow.

Members on default trust have no obligation to do so. You need to find someone that is motivated to go against these. These are community enforced rules not forum rules and if the community does not care, no ratings are left. Vod cares about MS keys. From what I read, Lutpin, mexxer-2 and whywefight go against carded/hacked accounts. I no longer follow the digital goods section though, so it might have changed without me noticing.

If its clearly illegal, its against the rules. This is however not always the case.

So you're saying if we can't fight at least some of the bullshit going on in the forum then we shouldn't even try?

That's not how it works. Some people figured out that MSDN key sales are fraudulent and started tagging. If you think you see a pattern of fraudulent Netflix or PayPal account sales - feel free to tag them but also be ready to substantiate your reasoning. It's EVERYONE's responsibility to keep this place clean and generally speaking - if you want to bitch about something not being done the best way to deal with that is to get it done yourself.

yeah i dont get why people always complain about something else when people pick one thing to start with. its like getting caught for speeding and than complaining about all other drivers who didnt get stopped.

Basically, the mods don't give a shit because it's not against the forum rules.

But the community gives a shit. They just happen to not like people selling MSDN keys more than Spotify/Netflix accounts.

I'm going to start negging people who try to sell prescription drugs illegally here though it appears to be infrequent.   Nobody seems to care about that sort of thing even though it's far more dangerous.

Nonetheless,  OP what is your point?  Other offenses aren't enforced as rigorously so you shouldn't get negged for selling msdn keys?  You ever try that argument when you get stopped for speeding?  Hint: it doesn't work because it's illogical.
