Title: Exchanges: their features and failures
Post by: nino_decoy on March 26, 2016, 04:56:55 PM
This is market research.

What do you most love about your favorite exchanges?

What are some things that suck about an exchange, what's your biggest criticism?

What would you like to see? This can be anything. Features and functionality, community related, Nintendo entering the market, spaceships, strippers, whatever.

i want the exchanger that i use to be transparent, they should have a valid office to pursue any future legal matter and for some kind of insurance.

also to choose an exchanger i look at their performance history and also the number of people using it by checking the volumes.

Exchanges are good to all when they don't have bitcoin ATM card. If they applied and they have card means. Its unessessory to go with exchange. As I know Only drawback from exchanges is They use take more money as charges.
Try to get a Bitcoin debit card reduce the charges.

there's this tradable asset that is only available on my favorite exchange which makes me stick to it;
i do use different exchanges but most of the times i just use their unique features, eg. poloneix lending.

imo, the thing that sucks about many of the exchanges is that their charts are too primitive/simple and do not have any analytical tools to go along with the charts!

lastly, mostly, i wanna see boobies, intergalactic space travel in my lifetime and consciousness transfer aka mind uploading.

Same here, ATM is the exchange that i used mostly is polo, bittrex is not bad at all but i prefer to use polo, also yes they added only few weeks ago the "lending" chooise, what i dont like from there is his chat system, sometimes is too laggy, like his charts scripts, but in general is the best, at least for me.

Another one thing that i would like to see from polo is to improve his API system, for php users especially you can feel like you miss some extra commands features.

I would like to see BIttrex adding skrill to options for windrawl. Same goes and for the BTC e. I would like to see new exchanges, decentralised where you hold your private keys. Maybe we also need regulated legal exchanges, like GEMINI.

the faster movement of trading activities is the most loved in an exchanges site.
the price stucked is suck.
those putting barriers on price must go to hell!

What do you most love about your favorite exchanges?

i love
- the simple design but good and enough information on charts.
- fast website, always up without problems
- good and easy to use API
- normal fees both on trading and withdrawals
i use bittrex for all my altcoin trading and since i don't do much bitcoin/fiat these days i don't have favorite.

the only thing that sucks is the lack of trust, meaning i think every day can be the last day the exchanger is running like what happened to cryptsy recently.

better trading options like stop loss, and things like that.

Bittrex is my main one and I am happy with the way it works, the only problem I have is when you are on your mobile it is ugly and quite irritating to use, this is something they would need to improve for me to be 100% happy.

Yobit is not the best exchange but it is good for entry level coins, they add pretty much everything and it is a good place to pick up cheap coins before they hit the larger exchanges.

Most of the exchanges arn't very liquid for a given coin - for example Kraken is great for BTC/Eur trading, but try trading doge there and you'll be lucky to get your order filled in several days.

The other thing is security - I've lost count how many exchanges have gone bust and walked away with people's coins - mt gox, mintpal, cryptsy etc. There needs to be some sort of insurance in place so that when they get hacked they can compensate users. Of course it helps if the "hacking" is not done by insiders in a long con.

2) Reputation.

3) Discounts. :)

1. Their simple design, user friendly easy to navigat website, with support help.

2. Biggest would be support is not always up to speed with transactions so you have explain 30 mins whats going on

3. Seeing more staff with a prevention team for scammers to delist their ads

Most exchange sites are doing the same thing and that all of them offer higher buying price to which most buyers as well hate. That is why some of those buyers that  wants cheaper btc turn to bitcointalk.org users to buy bitcoin which also resulted to getting scammed.  ;D  Check my signature, they offer $10 in btc for sign up bonus.  ;D

I would suggest to get a bitcoin debit card to hold your bitcoin and crash out whenever you need! Exchanges are really good and that helping us to get bitcoin into fiat cash for use. But If have debit card it will reduce the charges and its better than bitcoin exchanges...

My exchange of choise is Kraken. I also use other exchanges, but Kraken has never let me down so far. For me it offers all I need. I just do buy low and sell high. Beside that I am not trading much. Strong points of Kraken are the fast EUR cashouts and a very responsive and helpful support team. I also use Bitstamp and BTC-E, but their support is severely lacking professionalism. It takes quite some time to get answers from them and a decent solution to problems. Kraken is the best for me on every point.

1) Simple yet effective interface, fast

2) Lack of trust

3) Hum, discounts would be great like nino mentioned, but I'd also like to see an increase in reputation.

i use bittrex and i love it because it is fast and easy to use with nice charts with good information on it.

i don't like about exchangers in general is the fact that i can't really trust any of them these days, because of what their counterparts (like cryptsy) did

i also like easy to use API and also fast responds from their server with no lags.

1.) What i love mostly is the speed and lower fee on exchange
2.) Some things that sucks on my favourite exchange is the speed, sometimes it takes many hours waiting to deposit or withdraw coins from the exchange.

Exchanges are necessary evil, and we must use them if we want to earn money.
I'm using many of them but BIttrex and Poloniex are most trusted so majority of my coins are there.

How is this for a fail  look at screen shot

So how about your deposit is made before the annoucement  and confirms are slow.

You would lose the coins.  I have 167,000 dvc coins made just after this notice.  All coins are in my account and they have yet to credit me for the coins. Since they said I deposited after a cutoff notice.  which by the way has no real time stamp since April 5th covers 47 hours when you take time zones into affect.
