Title: New Bitcoin Project
Post by: NoahNirlo on March 26, 2016, 07:48:21 PM
Hello I am searching for web developers experienced in front and back end. Web developers who are skilled in HTML5, PHP, and Java are what I am looking for.
I will not be paying you hourly or a fixed price. I am not searching for a freelancer, I am searching for a partner who can help the wheels turn on this very interesting project.
This project entails building a innovative faucet system, forum, news, two-sided marketplace/freelance, bitcoin exchange, reward system, wallet system, and a bitcoin casino.
If any of these piqued your interest and you are experienced in the languages listed then I recommend you send me a message so we can discuss in further detail and possibly work on this project together.

So are you willing to pay whoever can complete this task for you then? Right now it almost sounds like you want all this work done for free, which is not going to happen when looking for custom web development.

So are you looking for a co-founder or partnership?

I am looking for a partnership

Also I do not expect this work to be done for free. I want to get this project off the ground and am looking for a long term partner who will receive part ownership of the business.

Good luck finding a developer. Considering the scope of the project a competent developer could demand a contract giving her/him at least two thirds ownership. After all you already said you cannot do it yourself. But better 1/3 of something than 3/3 of nothing, eh.

This will not work this way. Skilled developers with the required skills have plenty of other jobs. You need to pay them in advance otherwise it will be nearly impossible to find anyone for this.

With the projects in mind and the progress already finished, I don't think it would be such a problem finding a developer for this. Multiple projects are million dollar ideas. I do agree that we have zero devs. coming on board but we really need a great dev. within the week to keep the wheels turning.

That's really risky for the "partner". Do you plan ton making this whole interaction trust based? I doubt this will yield positive results, at the very least you should get serious and sing a contract, but that's only worth it if you're experienced enough for the project to take off. An idea on it's own won't do it.

My partner is experienced in business and I am experienced managing over our workers. We already have created the website (although we are redesigning it at the moment), the faucet, and are about 75% complete with our unique arbitrage bot. We will start with contracts when we figure out the ownership. Right now we are basing it off trust because the only partners we want are people who can see the possibilities of the business and are just as passionate about it as we are.

It's good to know that you don't mind getting contracts involved at some point, things are at stake with proprietary projects and idealy someone has to handle this responsibility. Good luck.

I second this.  Make sure there is a good contract so that both parties know what they are getting into and what to expect with profits.  Web developers usually like a % upfront though.  Good luck in your search.

From my personal POV, I think maybe it will be better if you make a platform (where people will add their own projects, and users will rate them).

Of course, you can make an invitation system and some other features, but you will not have to fill your website, you will just focus on making a marketplace.

It is all about a possible long term commitment to a big project like this that would force people to ask for a long term contract. You could build in performance clauses and also restrictions on copy cat projects, if the developer leave your project. I would rather have a contract in place to protect both parties, than have collaborative inputs with no protection. The gambling feature and the faucet option are both features that require higher security, to stop people from building backdoors and bot loopholes, so it might be better to include reputable people. ^hmmmm^

That is an interesting idea. I will definitely consider something like that. Yes security will be very necessary but we need some great devs to help with the projects. Right now worrying about security is like worrying about building a wall around your house and you don't even have a house..but i still appreciate your input and whole heartedly agree.
