Title: How to increase traffic to faucet?
Post by: Warrior B on March 28, 2016, 07:31:13 PM
Hey this question is mainly to faucet owners, I wanted to know what are the best strategies in order to generate more traffic to my faucet. I've tried adding the faucet to several faucet rotators, increasing the payout, decreasing the payout time, giving a higher refferal commission, etc.

I've even tried to make some campaigns on FB, Adwords and some BTC adnetworks but those never work out.

Please let me know your thoughts on this subject, any feedback will be very appreciated.

BTW the faucet is http://fullbitcoins.com

Thanks!  ;D

Seems like your doing everything you can.

For returning visitors: Try to have a clean and original site design. Users will "remember" the site easily.
Try changing something from time to time?

Also, some faucets are _slower_ than others. There's no shame it that.

Your faucet is looking good. :)

Hey thanks for your feedback I really appreciate it   :D

I was hoping there were more techniques in growing traffic. I've been investigating SEO but I see there is a lot of competition in the bitcoin faucet space.

Any other thoughts or ideas are very welcome!

You've got the right formula by offering 10min claims with at least 100 per claim. Bundle that with 50% referral commission??? Yup. You'll be a popular faucet as long as you can maintain your balance.

Just give it a few days, and wait for people to start promoting your site, and you'll see your numbers JUMP! I hope your web host is able to facilitate the amount of traffic that you'll be receiving.

Hmm, maybe weekend bonus? It can be a good idea. But I think daily faucets with a high reward are most popular anyway, most users like this kind of faucet. I'm a bit astonished that Facebook advertise didn't work for you... People click everything there.  ???

You are doing good by promoting it here. I shall be a new user on your faucet.

I personally like the 100 Satoshi per 10-15 minute faucets.

For faucets you might even try setting up ads on PTC sites like ads4btc or btcclicks.
High referral commission is also very important (I think 50% is a must here).

As a faucet owner you need more promotions. You have to give higher referral rewards so your users will promote your website to forums.

You can also try to promote your faucet on other popular faucets or Bitcoin related websites. It costs you some investment but that could be worth if you can manage to use good anti bot. Nowadays there are many bots who try to steal your balances.

Its simple increase rewards for users.
Most faucets pay 100 satoshi or even less, any faucet under 800 satoshi is not worth it to me. Your faucet: 100-3000. I read this as 100.
If you want high traffic, make sure your advertising pays enough to give a reward that is high enough. If you manage to pay 2000 satoshi per claim you can get all faucet users on earth on your site.

Running paid ads or campaigns in facebook or aocial media is not coat effective regarding faucet. If you are really willing to spend few bucks extra to promote try to include article about your faucet in some high ranked bitcoin blog or bitcoin faucets newletter like bitcoinalein have. Other option could be running avatar camapign in this forum.

Thanks for your feedback, I also have 2 other faucets in place and trying to promote it through different ways.

The other 2 faucets are:

I'm currently giving 50% referral commission, do you think that is not high enough?

That is very interesting, what other popular faucets or Bitcoin related websites do you recommend?

Hey I actually tried different combinations of higher payouts but in a larger time frame like 60-120 minutes, but after testing a few months I've seen that it is better to give a lower payout with short time periods so that users can come back to the site more often. Anyway, thanks for the feedback I really appreciate it  :D

Yes I agree, running paid ads do not work, unfortunately I had to test some of my $ to get to that conclusion  :'(

Can you please clarify what the avatar campaign in this forum is? I would definitely like to test that out.

http://earnfreebitco.in/

I cannot connect to all three of them, they are seen as malicious by Malwarebytes premium.

myrdrcts.com is the problem I think

Hey guys this is strange, I see the service for the 3 faucets working correctly.
Are you guys using a proxy? I have them disabled for proxy and TOR traffic due to the amount of bots I had.

it seems that you need to go with the flow think of an games that you can develop for your faucets, it will work invest with progrming then even small amounts of rewards but if vistors find your faucet entertaining they will keep visiting and they will recommend it as well.

Hey guys speaking with some people I know they recommended to start working on the SEO of the site since apparently it brings the best organic traffic to your website.

Any recommendations on SEO strategy or experiences you'd like to share?

Thanks!  ;D

Still i am getting hit with myrdrcts.com from your websites

See the latest viruses that this site puts out, not yours man, its myrdrcts.com
Latest detected files that communicate with this domain (https://www.virustotal.com/en/domain/myrdrcts.com/information/)

It really is not safe, get your own computer scanned using malwarebytes or even Eset.
Trying to help you, and users that do not have adequate security.

You need to have a unique design in order to stand out from others.

You can also try using PTC to promote your site.
