Title: Anyone noticed the FUD bots in the speculation section?
Post by: pereira4 on March 29, 2016, 12:30:21 PM
I think it has been more than a year of some weird nicknames registering (such as BRXblb or g0qMmf etc) just to make 1 post accounts with how Bitcoin is doomed and everyone should sell and so on (the usual bullshit). I can't believe how persistent the guy running this bot must be, there must be hundreds if not thousands of accounts banned already.
If you see giberish nicknames like those on the speculation section just insta report everything.

They're not as frequent as they used to be, but yeah, I'm surprised he's still going.

such threads usually got deleted pretty quick as long as there's a mod online. at least they're not posting some naked old dude pics like how they used to.  ;D

I noticed that as well. Unlike those bots from before where posts were being made every hour , these bots don't posts often. Also they are instantly deleted even before you can hit the report button so I think people already knows about those threads being a spam.

AFAIK they are not, only the knc stuff is being handled that way (being automatically deleted).
If a thread is deleted faster than you can report it, someone (::)) has beaten you to it.
However, I see every now and then some users answering those bot posts and trying to "start a discussion" (mostly for the sake of their signature).

Probably not as frequent as before because he's been allowed to have a couple of accounts unbanned so far, I believe up to Member status.

I bet if those accounts get banned the old style of constant spamming would return

What accounts? Allowed by who?

Similar with the KNC guy. They never give up.
