Title: BTC-e problems
Post by: uprasmi on April 01, 2016, 04:30:56 PM
Well, I'm here for the first time and this account was created specially for this thread. My problem is btc-e.com. It all began when I've lost the access to my email which is linked to my btc-e account. I was only depositing, not making any withdrawals, so I never really needed my email as it's only used for confirming that you're the real account owner who wants to take his money out of the account. Finally, I needed to withdraw certain amount of money, and the confirmation was sent to my email. Then I realized i've lost the access, tried to change the primary email address but according to btc-e rules I must have the access to my old email in order to do so. I created a couple of tickets explaining everything, they never responded. I just want to change my email address that's it. It's been over a week now. So now I'm writing here, crying for help  :-\ Maybe someone can give me advice? What else can I do to get through to support? besides writing tickets which I've done already.

Well it is your mistake you have lost your access to mail, and for them you are yet another scammer who training to get somebody's funds..And they are very precautions when this is case. You can only wait for answers.
They are well known for their Security. Maybe you have more chance in recovering of mail..

did you lost access to the old email completely ? I mean can not you remember its password with the security questions or with an associated phone or email ? .
I see that you have a very little chance to get access to the btc-e account without restoring the old email

Exactly. BTC-e did the right thing. I have seen posts by other users, who got robbed of their coins after thieves managed to convince the exchange to remove email confirmation. My only advice to him is to be more careful next time. If you are having a few thousand USD worth of BTC in your BTC-e wallet, then you are expected to keep proper backup options. If you can't do that, then don't store your coins in a BTC-e wallet.

The best bet is to go to the email provider and get them to recover the account to you.
I doubt btc-e will give you access with out it. they can't just lower there users security like that.
