To lend your bitcoins, you can create a thread in the lending section. You should take the borrower's account as collateral. First you need to calculate the account price for here : http://www.bctalkaccountpricer.info/ (http://www.bctalkaccountpricer.info/)
Then you should lend him BTC equal to or less than the price calculated above.
In case the borrower does not pays back then you could sell that account to get your BTC back.

- go here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=65.0
- read the rules and Edu: 1 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=246874.0) 2 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=577765.0) 3 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=404191.0) 4 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=119896.0)
- post a topic there and write what your rules are (amount, percent, return time, types of collateral you accept, ...)
- figure out who is currently good (trusted) and available for escrow
- review applications and lend

you can use numerous online service, but you need identification, because they do not ask for collateral like it is in this forum

services such btcjam, loanbase, btcpop etc...

A word of caution while taking bitcointalk accounts as collateral. Accounts may not necessarily fetch the price mentioned on the website. There is a risk that the accounts might have been hacked too. It is safer to take altcoins as collateral.

Thanks for all replies. About accounts can be hacked, i think escrow change the account password to prevent this issue. So account owner can't access his account until he pays the loan.

I will try to offer a loan there...

By hacked accounts, I think the person meant that someone hacked an account, and wanted to use the hacked account as collateral. I remember a while ago someone asked this in the lender section, and myself and others made a good post about how to lend. Don't use http://www.bctalkaccountpricer.info/ for prices, it is way inflated. A newbie account with 1 post is worth 0.001, apparently. The account market is a lot different now. If you must use it, use the estimated price/2

trust is the key,you must have good rank and trust if want to lend bitcoins here, also always use escrow for safety.
some people loan to good rank and good reputation member, its safe and make you not upset with scammer around here.

Hmm, it's a case to think about (hacked accounts)...

Can you suggest me some rules?

I would like to lend until 0.06 BTC, can you suggest a good and possible interest percent, return time?

Types of collateral that I accept: maybe accounts? I think it's better than alt-coins that lose their price anytime...

OP, I have a bad feeling about this if you're as green as you appear.   Just be aware that this forum is infested with scammers and always get valid collateral.   I got scammed by a green trusted member for 0.3 btc and you get members trying to scam for much less.  Good luck.

There is a lending section in this forum.
I'm not sure you can go far with lending though, you have to really have a lot of faith it will turn out nice.

Scammed because lost all money or because collateral account was bad?

Maybe we need just to find a honest escrow...

Yes, I do agree that some of the reputed members turned to be doing gray things on this forum. But in lending business you should accept any collateral which you can sell it easily to recover your money otherwise no use of collateral. Also if your a not a trusted member on this forum than mostly no one would prefer to hand over collateral to you so either you first gain the trust or you should trust some reputed person on this forum to hold collateral, otherwise you may not be success in lending business in this forum. Good luck to you.

exactly. doesn't matter who is asking for the loan, you gotta ask for a collateral in return.
it is not always about not giving it back and scamming he might have and accident or even die and you have nobody returning your money except the collateral that you have taken before.
so you just have to take a valid collateral like forum account or some altcoins that you have the wallet for.

Hmm, ok. Looks a bit complicated. Better to lend only for trusted friends and i have no one. I understand that it's very hard to trust strangers on internet. The scam can come from everywhere. Thanks for all your attention.

In the process of lending, initial step is verification of the user with various identities. The next part is to get a collateral in advance other than money. Even if the interest was paid regularly with the submitted collateral loss can be compensated.

yeah, if you want to earn money you have take risks and sometimes you have to lose money to learn some valuable things.

you only have to learn what a valid collateral is.
for example:
- you can accept Litecoin since the LTC price is pretty stable for lending 0.1BTC you should take 0.1BTC+10%=~14.21 [LTC] (the percentage can vary)
- you can also accept forum account: check the last time they have changed password, ask for signed message, google this: "{userName} scam site:bitcointalk.org" and  "{userName} loan site:bitcointalk.org"

Why a new money lender shoud have positive trust can you explain this? if the collateral will be kept by 3th Trusted member so no risk the lender can take it away!

And the second statment is not 100% true even newbies can lend if the collateral is valid and at least 120%

You can try to lend in lending section make sure that accept only valid collateral and make sure they can send the collateral first before you send a btc..
Also you can try Poloniex if you are not satisfied lending here you can go to poloniex to start a small lending that you can make 1% daily interest..

An easy way to lend is through bitfinex. BTC returns about 2% right now. Fiat loans much more but it fluctuates. Little tip. No reason to lock in your loan for more than a few days. If you lock it in for a month and then the rate goes up while you are inside of the month, you lose money. But you can also keep your loan rolling over and reinvested and take advantage of the rate if it goes up. Of course it might go down. Its a calculated risk.

this is very interesting, thanks for sharing.
i have question about the service.
you are lending to users on the site right? can they withdraw it after they take the loan or is it blocked within the exchanger?

But it is really profitable if we have a large number of bitcoins in our wallet to get high profit. Also with the current price we can make a earning of $4.2 per day if we have one bitcoin.

You can post loan offer thread in loan section under marketplace here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=65.0
But don't forget to take collateral from the person you give loan and make sure that collateral is easy to sell and can give you more than you give in return in case you have to sell that collateral.

one of many way to make success loan is trust and reputation, you must build up your trust and reputation in this forum, but if you can get this, just use escrow and pay fee for that escrow, and dont forget to add collateral for your loan.

No the money does not leave the site. It is used for people who want to short a market. The money has to come from somewhere? That would be you adding liquidity to the platform. The borrower is hoping the market will go in their direction more than the cost of the interest on the loan. Volatility and volume change the return you get on the loan.
Also. It won't be for a while. But First Global Credit will have a passive investment option that will allow you to generate a return without the need to direct your investment. Right now its all using bitcoin as collateral to invest in mainstream companies like Google, Apple, EasyJet, BetFair. Or the S&P, NASDAQ, other exchanges. Jon Matonis is on our board and the company has been trading since 2014.
But I am delighted I knew something useful for you. :)

The part regarding positive trust is needed is 100% not true. I started lending back when I was "Member" ranked and the only trust rating I had was this negative one from someone on DT3.
https://i.imgur.com/UkSbDFx.png
I still gave out loans, and people still requested them from me. Most of my loans were to people without positive trust as well, and so far I have only 2 defaults, both with collateral that covered the loan amount. Just because they have positive trust doesn't mean they won't scam. I remember a person with 10 trust defaulted a loan of 0.3 BTC a while ago, so you can't base it on trust only.

Find out if the forum member has an account with loanbase. btcpop, or bitbond. Send them a message on one of their active or paid loan pages to confirm they actually own it. Check their rating and loan history. Do not get fooled by "boosted" accounts with a lot of tiny reputation loans.

I mean as long you have a solid collateral knowing you can sell it to make up for your debt, you`ll always be lending or able to..

but the day you start struggling to sell to make up for the debts is when there will problems. Its better to partner with people who buy the accounts or whatever youre dealing with as collateral. cause it`ll be causing more going out then coming in..

I mean you have more experience obviously, but this is just what I see.

Lending has become easier when you find the trusted person from our forum. Secondly the collateral needs to be got before moving further for the bitcoin transfer. Better than this is to find a escrow who does these work in a very perfect manner. You doesn't need to stress yourself.

With accounts being bought with reps, its hard to sort out the legit trusted ones that will not run.

I say even with a trusted forum member, have a set limitation of lending as a mandatory rule on your thread and break down the lending limits.

If you have no limits, theres more at risk.
