Do you have any idea that what will be the price of BTC at the end of the 2016?

I can't find any scientific prediction on the web...

If someone knew what's the price of anything is going to be (like stock markets , bitcoin , gold etc ..) then we would be all rich .
You can't know for sure but for what comes to Bitcoin , It should logically rise after the halving block reward (since the supply is going to be halved from 25 BTC to 12.5 BTC) and it's going to happen .
I would suggest buying and holding that's probably the best thing you could do

Just always ride every price trend and take advantage of it. D

Don't expect to have some good facts and basis about what will be the BTC price before the year change.

what does "scientific prediction" even mean? are you talking about technical analysis .

cause you are not gonna find that here (much), it is all speculation with no back. also TA doesn't really work that much on bitcoin!

It's analysis - someone either analyses something, or they don't. It's not something that "works" - it's a process by which people develop a better understanding of what price has done. If you've tried TA and you failed to understand historic price movements better, well, you have my sympathies but it's hardly proof that "TA doesn't really work".

I doubt there will be any relevant scientific prediction on the web that would have an actual effect and could be considered as basis. One thing for sure, we'll be at a higher value than we are now but that's mainly a basis from the halving effect. There will be a lot of other factors that would have an direct and indirect effect towards the end of 2016 and surely no one knows it.

I hope fr the price to reach at $1200 again, but after reading the people reviews at here on this forum i think it will be at $800 at the end of this year.

I believe bitcoin will stay in this range 400-500$ after PnD scheme that will be provided by whales around halving. This is realistic price if you compare 250$ and 430$-500$ you can see how we going to end this year. But only if everything goes well and without problems in the world, in economy..

i doubt that the price will be so low then, i think that bitcoin has a lot of potential to grow right now, i hope that there will be a huge price increase that will make me a lot of money

i would predict that a new all time high will be reached because of the halving and the price will remain so high and never fall, i hope my predictions are correct

I'm curious too how this scientific prediction can be calculated or be found. A prediction normaly should be concluded from a research, polls(surveys) etc. but at the end nobody knows 100% for sure what will be the price at the end of the year, we can only speculate about his, if you ask me i would speculate that the bitcoin price should be $500+ by the end of the year.

I think it will rise to maybe 500-600$ because of the halving and remain so until the end of the year.

My guess is that the price will reach a new high of $600 this year. Everything above that price level is considered a great extra bonus for me.

If it doesn't scale well, like with current roadmap, I'm predicting it will be lower than current value, extrapolating growth we would need much more transaction capacity than what has been promised.

Bitcoin has power and potential to achieve that value by the end of the year, and who knows bitcoin would reach there at the time of halving as it is predicted that price would go high at halving.

Scientific prediction? Even the most studied and analyzed currencies or commodities like dollar, euro and gold are absolutely unpredictable in the long term because there is a natural uncertainty prevailing all the time in markets, so I think bitcoin is even harder to predict because of the lack of historic records to wait for a realistic prediction at the end of this year.

I'm guessing it will either go one of two ways.  Either we will break out into a bull trend and be around 550-600, or go back to the mid to lower 200's

There will be scientific prediction that you can find when it comes to bitcoin price,because bitcoin prices are manipulated and no matter how hard you try you cant predict its price.

if you are looking for technical analysis, i have to tell you that it doesn't exactly work with bitcoin. it is good to know it and predict the movement but you can't expect the same success rate as other markets with TA.

But to OP, bitcoin isn't really a thing you can predict. Or at least, you can't predict it with much accuracy. You can try reading up and studying trend analysis so you'd have a better idea of what's going on.

You are maybe right..but as the year end comes, and the christmas holiday, we always see a price increase, so I think it will be around $800  or even above, and might fall back down to $500 after the holiday rush as the effect of those who will sell their coins..

surely not lower than what it is now, or you can say good by to bitcoin, and the whole thing, it can be between 400-1k for a resoanable prediction

I think it is likely that bitcoin will gain atleast 800-1000$ mark by end of this year. I am strong believer in bitcoin so i will be holding all my coin till than.

If we predict a price doubling due to reward halving, then I must say there are more than only that.

If we are able to solve the blocksize debate by end of the year, I am sure we will see the all-time-high record to be broken. This is currently the main obstacle for the price to advance any further.

Block size is just a part in the growth of bitcoin price increase. So when block size debate comes to end to a little extent price increase can be felt, but not to the high of all time.

This is very hard question and after all this excitement we need time for break out and this is what will happen, PnD and we will have stable price for some time i believe. This can be from 300$ to 600$ but we will see. This price will be created with mining price at that moment.

Probably 500-600. Although halving might not raise it so much as many expect, it is likely that it gets attention and new users. Also some solution is likely to be found to the blocksize thing and make price go up.

No, I don't think so, because we can observe a better stabilization in the bitcoin price with a slightly bullish trend. I would prefer to foresee a price at the end of this year around the $650 level.

That's the price maybe after the halving and might continue to go sideways again if no one will dump their coins and send the price back to it's price right now...

I am very confident that bitcoin will have a very nice price. at least bitcoion will have rates above 800 USD price at the end of 2016. bitcoin has many advantages over other payment media. ;)

I think partly because of the "Panama papers" the BTC price will be a bit higher end of 2016 than at the moment.
If only 0.1% of the big money mentioned in the Panama papers is converted into BTC, it will boost BTC price.

My guess is that the price wil however somewhere between $500-$600 at the end of this year. Can't see it go much higher than that as average price.

as a slow and steady rise i am expecting at least $550 to be the price of bitcoin in case nothing exciting happens and there is no jump rise.

but i think there will be a big rise because of the things that i have been seeing in the orderbooks for the past few months so i am expecting a price at least above $800 or even more because of it.

I am very sure that this year halving brings a price value which touches $700 and even more, also I believe that its users won't be cheated in any way and this value continues till the end of this year.

I also do not have any prediction that is actually true but no one has. Investing in Bitcoin is also a bit of a gamble because you just do not know what the prices will be like.

Well all we can do is to invest in bitcoin and wait for a good price everyday even though it might get a high price at the end of the year doing trade daily will bring more profit.

I also cannot find anything that can predict the price at the end of 2016. This means that you really cannot really predict the future prices. We will just have to wait and see what will happen.

In reality it has more possibility to grow to high price by the end of this year. As this year is described to be the year of bitcoin just because of the halving. At the same as quoted above assured price might be around $600, based on speculation it is expected to go high upto $1000.

i have no idea what prices btc at the end of the 2016 because very difficult to predict the correct prices of btc but currently the prices has rise up and already passed $460 but for the end of 2016 i think it might be approximately $700

it is hard to predict bitcoin price especially when you want to predict it for a specific time. but i am expecting a big rise soon because of the halving which has already started. so somewhere around $1000 can be the top and there might be some decline because a lot of users will sell because they have that price in their mind for profit but after that the price can continue rising. this can take more than end of 2016.

At that time I don’t think that the stability will occur and if occurred then it will not be a strong and fix stability but a continuous fluctuation will occur and the price will also in the forward direction the same as was the situation a month ago.

My personally prediction is that it will reach the $500 dollar and that is not sure but you see also that the value is going rise now and that is perfect for the currency and for us of course.

Higher than $600? I find it very hard to believe as there is barely any intention of moving forward after the block halving is completed.

The last 6 months there has barely been any upwards potential as the price keeps hovering around the same price levels for quite a long time.

The only bit of fireworks that I expect this year is the last few days before the block halving, and that's it.

Speculating the most closest possible scenario what will happen in price after halving can't really be noticeable today since we are not entering yet the effect of pre-halving scenarios.

Right now the price is in state of decreasing due to very poor buy support and people getting bored because the price isn't moving up much enough in the last weeks. I already didn't think the price would go to $600 but the longer this continues, the less likely it will get to see $600 this year.

I think so. The bitcoin price could be between $900 to 1100. It depends on the support from the bitcoin community.

It could go under $600. After the halving we will see the smaller mining farms giving up and more cloud mining sites close in the coming months. It will be not profitable for them to mine anymore simply because they cannot pay the cost of maintaining their mining farms. The bigger mining farms on the other hand would have to sell more bitcoins in the market to pay for their loans on equipment, electricity and other expenses. So there will be selling pressure. And also the pumpers would also have to make an exit at some point.

We are going to see 1000$ for Bitcoin by August and 1500 $ by the end of 2016. Once we break the resistance of 688 $ Bitcoin will shoot at 1000 $ quickly just need to look at the chart. In the halving in 2012, the bitcoin rose 5 times 6 months after halving. So the price in 2016 year end could be more than $1000.

That bubble is attributed to the Cyprus financial crises, nothing to do with halving.

As pedrog also said, the reason back then for the price to increase was due to all the drama in Cyprus.

On top of that there was the media attention for Bitcoin as it reached its all time high of just over $250 that got the price to where it was.

The end of 2016 is a few months away from now, and I wish that the end of 2016 bring a lot of good news for us regarding bitcoin, and we all at that time earna bigger amount with our invested money. and the new year also start with that happiness.

The only good news I know of is the block size increase from 1MB to 2MB, that will at least double the price.

According to the Hong Kong meeting consensus, the 2MB block size increase will be implemented in July.

There are thousands of new lines of the new software. Although it has been tested on the test net, it might still have bugs.

The reality is that for SegWit to achieve full benefit, nearly every single piece of bitcoin software in existence has to be rewritten to support it, and end users will need to upgrade.

Bitcoin prices is the one thing which is hard to predict as it changes too randomly . Even a person who has good financial knowledge cant predict the correct bitcoin prices.

i am sure that bitcoin rise up its price to 800 to 900$ at the end of 2016 ,bitcoin is really going to increase its value too much faster than other crypto currency.

It will stay below $600 until the end of the year. BTC needs to consolidate for now and the longer it does the better it will be. I would prefer to see it rise slowly than see it rise fast because of a manipulated pump from the whales. Slow but sure growth is better and safer.

i am a bit more optimistic that the price will settle above the $600 price level, but that it will remain below $700 as the lack of demand won't get a massive boost any time soon. $600 is a more than decent price for me. especially when you consider that we have been sitting below the $500 level for more than a year.

I hope that you have a good tongue there, these are the prices that I'm predicting to happen before the end of the year. If that happens it is going to be a big smile for all of us because it is now close to the $1k dollar per bitcoin that many are predicting.

My speculation would be..  Bitcoin at 700usd -750usd range at the end of the year.  it should have been around 800 usd -900 usd  but due to some exchange incident, the price of bitcoin had been affected.  This is one event that have a major impact in bitcoin popularity and price.  One hacked exchange and one for closure charged of illegal stuff.  Sure bad press for bitcoin.

With the recent trend of dropping I don't expect the bitcoin price to reach four digits at the end of this year but everything can happen so I'm optimistic that the price at the end of this year will be somewhere at $650 and up.

That price is impossible for bitcoin and i think the price will not go even in 400 value so i think its better to dont worry.. because last year the price is go in that value but the price is not stay at that price but for now block reward is already half so i think its impossible that the price will hit in  300 value again.. instead the price will increase more again back..

Or study the running chart live so that you will know if you sell or buy bitcoins..

Bitcoin will see price in range of 550-650 dollars throughout the remaining time till end of this year 2016. I don't see some major changes in price unless some unseen event happens which to trigger the price. This is fair price range after recent incident of Bitfinex hack. This will suppress the price for few months because of the quantity of the Bitcoins which were stolen.

Nobody will prefer to sell their coins at this stage as price is comparatively low, so its better to hold them till the end of the year as everyone is speculating that price will go higher at that time.

i think will be more rise up its price to higher and bitcoin will be more shine and maximum people will adopt the bitcoin huge amount and i am sure the price of bitcoin will be 1000$ at the end of 2016.

well we wont break it because the price will not fall that much, in my opinion right now the only way is up

Any thing is possible with the price of bitcoin, after seeing your post , for a while I agreed with you, but then my heart said to me when in 2013 it can reach from $280 to $1200 and in 2016 it can reach from $370 to $770, then why not in the coming months from $590 to $1000.

The bitcoin is more mature now. The market cap is also larger. So it is difficult for the price to rise very fast. I am happy if the price is $900 in December.

900 is maybe realustic price for this year and to be stable for next one

I do not think the bitcoin price will rise too much unless the SegWit is released in the next few months and it is very welcomed by the market.

but it also depends on the whims of the market dude. If segwit appears but the market hasn't really wanted it so it is just a sweetener only. I think the increase in bitcoin depending on adoption or growth or value added users to Transact using bitcoin

before halving some people were expecting that the price of bitcoin will fell down too much after halving, because the miners will no longer take interest in mining, but we saw that even after halving the price of bitcoin remain stable for a long time, after that when the bitfinex hacking news spread in the market the price of bitcoin fell down to 500$ but there the market got a strong support and the price of bitcoin raise to 580 $ round about, now the bitcoin is trading in such position for a long time, as there is no bad news about bitcoin in the market therefore it is expected that the price of bitcoin will start increasing very soon and hope that it will easily cross 1200$ at the end 0f 2016 or just in the start of 2017,

My prediction is $900-950. I don't think that we will be able to cross the $1,000 mark this year, as there is too much resistance. A lot of guys are going to sell at $900-950 levels. Also, I believe that it will take some time for the block reward halving to have the full effect, by removing the excess amount of coins from the market.

Given that there are no immediate upward drivers, a 50% growth in the last 4 months of the year looks unlikely.
There could be further profit booking if we remain at these levels.

If the SegWit appears and there is not any bugs associated with it, the bitcoin price will at least double from the current levels.

I think it will cross the $1,000 mark this year, then have a correction in the new year before going up to a new ATH next year. The charts are showing a giant cup and handle forming with the top of the cup as the ATH. When it gets to the ATH again people will dump, then buy back after the correction, and keep buying until a new ATH at the top of the handle.

My guess is $700-850.

Until now the Bitcoin price has held really well after the little halving pump. Not even the Bitfinex fiasco was able to drive the price under $550 for more than a few hours. But I'm pretty sure that we will see a slightly bearish trend in the coming weeks. That's mainly because of "technical" reasons: The price has not managed to set higher highs after a dump. Pretty similar that what ocurred in most of 2014 and 2015.

But eventually we'll reach a turning point (probably after a large dump) and then price will rise again. I expect this to happen in September/October. In November we can cross the $700 mark again and then the ride will get increasingly bumpy, but at the end of the year I expect a value very close to the July high.

every one has their own idea, but to me the price of bitcoin is going to cross the all time high at the end of this year or just in the start of the next year 2017 and after that the market will take a correction, and will then stay at that high position for a long time as it was trading in 680$ for some time and then due to some bad news about bitfinex create panic and people start selling, but this time bitcoin is coming down any more.

As I said in July, we hit ATH for this year, now big correction coming.

I wrote this when bitcoin was like ~$690. Now it's on my second target ~$575-580. Very soon we are going to ~ 520-540 level.
