Hello,

I have loaned out some BTC to eddyubachs in exchange of his BTCTalk account as collateral.
eddyubachs defaulted and now I realize he somehow managed to recover control of collateralized account.

Is there any way to recover that account so I can sell it to recover my loss ?

Edit : I ask here first to know if that's possible at all. I don't want to bother theymos if people think this is impossible.
I never really followed this kind of conflicts, I don't really know what can be done in such case.

Did you have a signed message or at least the control of that account?

Maybe he did recover the account using his security question or via e-mail

How comes there's no password change (or anything similar) whatsoever in seclog for that account, neither back when the loan was given, nor since then?

That wouldn't 'recover' the account, but lock it for security reasons.

The lender should have changed the email once he took over the account. Also, this would show up in seclog.

Well, I had control of the account. When looking at the account profile I see it was active yesterday. No wonder why I can't recall the password.

I usually change the email & the account passwords when I got control of them, as collateral..

At least I neg rep his account, maybe he'll come to resolve the issue himself ?

you can see for yourself by looking at the seclog (https://bitcointalk.org/seclog.php) page. no password change of that account since march 10th.

I should precise that it happened in 2015 !
The seclog doesn't go that far.

oh wow. I didn't notice the year.
looks like he went active a month after that (10th april). using different address entirely.
the archived version of seclog only went as far as 10th April 2015 and I can't find any password reset. lutpin found one.

I took some distance with cryptoworld for about a year. I'm back since a few day now.

How is that possible ? I did exactly the same as for another account and I still have control on the latter.
I mean, I changed the email and the password .. How could eddyubachs recover his account ?

possibly the pass was too weak and someone hacked it.  maybe by another person entirely.

also the only way to know if you can recover that account is to ask theymos directly. though I won't expect too much seeing that you can't sign a message.

A signed message to the admin via PM can do that. IMHO this should be a scam accusation as its about a trade where you got tricked. Its very unlikely that staff or admins will intervene here.

I have checked post history of both yogg & eddyubachs.

looks like user yogg is trying to cheat here,from his post history it looks like he sold this account on 1april 2015 in an auction

Update1: password of account yogg was reset recently,it is possible account was hacked so OP need to signed message from those 2 bitcoin addresses to confirm its the real owner of account.

Update2 : I checked complete auction details and I am 100% sure its the same account, so he sold the account and now trying to claim it back,left him a negative trust for this.

You are right ...... I was mistaken. I wrongly assumed the account still belonged to me.
The account was sold to moko666.

I'm getting back from a year off Bitcoin, I need to assimilate where I am now.

By the way, I never contacted the forum staff to retrieve the account. I really didn't remember to sell it and incomprehension stroke me when I was unable to login in the account.
I asked for help here before making sure it still belongs to me.
