I was trying to change my display name and or username, but do not find that option, would you be kind enough to guide me on how to attain the solution to my problem. ?

There isn't any option for it. You should either donate 50 BTC so you would be able to change your name or try to ask admins with reasonable details of why you would like to change and they might do you the favor. Your account is new so why don't you just create another one with desired display name and username?

none of the forums that i have seen so far will let you change your username after you sign up. and here is no different.
but if i am not mistaken, if you are a donator, or pay a certain amount you can change it once but it has some rules that i can not remember.

I think that only admin can do such things.
But from all I know it won't be done for jr member accounts.
Best would be to create a new account, even if yours is already about two years old.

There're some other forums that(which) allows you to do that AFAIK. For e.g. -> https://cryptocointalk.com/topic/45541-change-username/ (someone were successfull in changing their name).
However, this forum (bitcointalk) has certain rules & regulations for their users(members) that's quite different from the other crypto related forums.

They can do it... but read post pooya mentioned - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1100903.msg11720132#msg11720132 .  It may seem crazy to someone wanting to change name but to get a name change it would take a good amount of donation to forum.   They don't lower it anymore as it would be unfair to users who paid old price long ago.

Very very few have gotten a name change by asking, some use them as examples and try to push for it to.   But Its a uphill battle that almost all will get turned down for namechange in most cases. 

Honestly being just Jr. Member if you really want a change get a new account and switch over.  If you have to have other name this is best option the longer you wait more you lose as far as rank on account when switching.

started to copy cat it. I reached lvl 100 in that game and got many comments on the username.. mostly positive. Things happen for a reason sometimes and If you are

using the same username for different services, you could easily get targeted. A typo or a wrong username might even be helpful. A recent example was the drug dealer on

Silkroad, who used the same username on different platforms and got caught, based on a compromise on another platform.  ;)

I am registered with many forums and in all my forums I use a specific name, so thought if it is possible here then will change my display name to the same one, so that anyone who knows me in some other forum can understand who I am, as in some forums am a super user but in some just a Jr. User or mid level. It is fine even if I cannot change my username, but thought if that would be possible.

Posting a simple question or query will attract so many answers was what I was not aware of

Just start an account with the correct name and abandon your current one.. Maybe even sell it..

This probably the more quickest way to go about your situation op.

When you pm someone about small things like this, its not likely to be responded since you can make another account in the right name.

Why do you want to change it anyway ?
I like that name somehow :D, my username is always the same across the internet since I'm not creative enough to create other nickname :P

Jr member can be sold for a few cents, try that ;)

I don't know why you want to change your username why have not you selected the unique username when you created the account , Well you can change it but its really really hard . Also you are just a Junior Member sell your account or create a new account with your desired username and enjoy . Well i guess username does not matter much .

dear - I was not trying to type joyleet instead of joyjeet, and my name is joyjeet that is how it is and I like that, I have already stated the fact and reason of why I thought to change it. Pls read my previous post
