That service was long ago introduced here in the forum. I have tried it once and it was actually a great idea since it really saves someone time in finding stuffs by letting others do the searchin for them. Panagot has an account here he has a thread regarding this in the service discussion section. IMO, the site badly needs more advertising for the service to be fully effective.

I have a long forgotten account there... There isn't much activity on the site so I eventually forgot about it. But it is a bright idea.

When he launched it, he gave some bits to first few users here and IIRC on his website, an address is given by him (in which that could be used only). I tried back in the days but the questions were only few and even though some answered correctly, they never got anything from some users that asked question (AFAIK), since the control is by the one who asks questions and no moderation done to ensure the whole process be fair to those put an actual effort and find the correct answer first.

To be honest, I hope it was possible to delete inappropriate answers. I mean, I asked a question to find me the cheapest store and some user just spam my topic with their website and some even post a faucet rotator link. I left the website without marking a correct answer, lol.

Its a good site for searching information about the coins. I wonder how will someone get paid from it ?

If your answer is marked as correct, you will see your account credited with the btc reward.
You can then withdraw your earnings, to your personal bitcoin wallet.

Used this site when there was giveaway ;) not really sure how the tip works to be honest. But seems that the site has less interest from the bitcoin community. Need a great marketing to promote this site so that many people will use this site.

They doesn't seem to be interested in marketing as they (site management) are not earning much with this service. Its been quite long since they are in operation but not getting enough attraction from bitcoin community.

The concept is interesting but it seems there is not much activity on the website though. The rewards are too tiny for someone to be too enticed to provide answers plus the questions themselves can be answered easily by the OP by doing a Google search themselves and saving time without the need to wait for the answers to start rolling in. Also is there a deadline after which the OP must select the best answers and pay the helpful guys their coins? Because the questions could stay open forever and no one will get anything for their wasted time answering them.

I think the owner is doing a promotion again. I saw panagot has a thread on the service sectio and giving away 1$ for users. He didn't mention that it is for his site bitfortip but based onthe requirements I guess it is. You guys should try it.

That is really too bad. People always find a way to come out on top themselves, even if someone else is asking for their help.

The idea is quite interesting though, being able to earn some tips for helping someone out.

If you need some serious help on a specific topic, it may still be better to find a dedicated forum on that subject and just ask there. Make sure to introduce yourself first, this will often give much more elaborate responses by specialists there.

This can easily be manipulated by sock puppet accounts. You wait until you receive the answer you waited for and then you give a similar answer with a sock puppet account and then you give a bit more detail and indicate that answer as the most applicable answer and you pay yourself.

Good idea, but not foolproof. They should give other users on the site a option to flag the most correct answer to the question and then payment can be done.

Yup - it's worth it only for people with time on their hands and nothing else to do. Still, without experiments like this we wouldn't find out what doesn't work, would we?

Unfortunately people were withdrawing the free btc giveaways that were deposited in their accounts instead of using them in the site to post inquiries.

Well what else do you expect to happen when you gave them the free Bitcoins? People's greed knows no boundaries and when they see free lunch it's like bees on a honeypot  :D Perhaps you could add a minimum threshold on accounts that haven't deposited coins themselves so new users won't be able to abuse your giveaways.

To tell the truth I expected at least a few to use them on the site so the bitcoins could be <<recycled>> with inquiries and change hands a few times before eventually being withdrawn.

Earn what exactly? I think the site works like when you provided a correct answer that the Questioner has asked then if he chose your answer the reward will be sent in your account. You just need to do as follow hat the question is telling you and do some searching then provide them what they are looking for.

I believe in you that its a nice idea. Its like crownfunding community give help to receive help. It is also like the promo of coins.ph sent 20 pesos worth of bitcoins to receive 20 pesos worth of bitcoins. But please enlighten me how does bitcfortip really works is it like the crowdfunding or there are new to that style. I am also curious on how much tip you give and how much earnings you receive, is it equal or you will receive more.

Provide a little Bitcoin with bitfortip to give the insetive for people to search for you online in order to win the bitcoin reward.
Some examples.

You saw a dress on a magazine or Instagram and you don't know where to buy it online.
You can upload it as photo and ask bitfortip members to search it online for you in order to win the bitcoin reward.

Or let's say someone wants to get a specific smartphone and after his own online research, he has found it for $500.  He then offers a reward of 0.000139 BTC  ($0.05)  if someone can find it even cheaper, say $480. Then the person who finds it, is rewarded with 0.000139 BTC and the inquirer saves $20.

Or if you are unable to find an information on the internet on your own. You can post an inquiry along with a bitcoin reward for people to find you a certain link, image, item  e.t.c .

The amount of the Bitcoin reward is being determined from the inquirer. Minimum amount required is 0.0001 BTC.

The answers can possibly not be what you looking for and then other people get paid for it. I tried it myself and got spammed to death with useless information. There should be 24/7 moderation to prevent this and tips should not be given to people who do not deserve it.

The site definitely needed more advertising, because I completed forgot about it. ^hmmmm^

Nice find! I had a similar idea for a website a while back but never got around to making it happen  :(
I think there is enormous potential here, right now the site is rather basic and not very pretty but there are tons of features that could be implemented to make it awesome. I think if done right, you could easily turn it into a thriving social network of sorts, meet people, search the web, help others, make friends and earn some bits along the way. You could have trust/feedback scores so that the best tippers and those who make special efforts to find the best suggestions are recognized. Imagine if you have millions of people using this site, how powerful a tool it would be.

Thank you for your positive feedback..   :-X Currently bitfortip has 3500+ members.

Feedback and trust option will be implemented in the near future.
I am thinking something like the following:

[ User Jack (10)

5 inquiries posted rewarded 4 different people
5 inquiries won ]

Currently there is a 0.0125 Bitcoin reward for best proposal on what else you would like to see on bitfortip.

The idea was interesting but not successful at all. Why would anyone use bitcoin for tips unless and until that person decides to loose his fortune.

If there was something to get in return, then few people might have been interested in using it but no one likes to giveaway free money. There has to be a return for anything.

People generally think that I am the best . So obviously he is choice is also best. So why people will give reward to someone for finding best deal.

But people can go even far deeper to find some thing at best price and tip some one.

I found out about Bitcointip because the owner paid me to do a review for my blog (http://ablogaboutnothinginparticular.com/?p=4171). :P Basically what I said about it is, it's great for getting people to do your online searches for you and find a cheaper price for something you're thinking about buying, but don't forget to reward the tip for a right answer because this encourages future quality answers.

Woops, I must've confused this with another service (similar to changetip), the name threw me off for a bit.
Anyway, still good to know that you've (if you're the owner) got 7000 active members!

Just made an account and wanted to ask if there is any way to receive notifications by e-mail whenever new questions are posted?
If not, that might be a good thing to add :)

Today the platform got an update on it's design.

After

Additional cryptocurrencies will be included in the future like Dogecoin and Nano.

iPhone (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/bitfortip/id1226070389?ls=1&mt=8)

Use case examples for people that don't know the service.

Find a item (i.e. a dress ) that you saw on a magazine, website, Pinterest or Instagram and you don't know where to buy it online. You can upload it as photo using your smartphone and ask bitfortip members to search it online for you in order to win the bitcoin reward.

Find a better price for an item that you want. Offer a small Bitcoin reward for members to search for you online.

Find a piece of information on the internet that you can't find on your own. Post an inquiry along with a bitcoin reward for people to find you a certain link, image, e.t.c.

I think the best way to earn bitcoin is to train cryptocurrency. this will allow you to earn what you teach yourself

This service is about getting help as an inquirer.

You offer to tip Bitcoins as an incentive for an information or an item that you want.

Use case examples were stated above.

I haven’t heard about this earlier but after watching this u tube video, I find it very interesting and I guess this is the very bright idea of earning bitcoin, though I have read some comments abouth this bit for tip and many user has given their feedback even about bit for tip that it has very few users and very few people find it innovative but what the best thing I find about this bit for tip is that it is not a fraud scheme and it actually gives you the bitcoin when you will use it.

This is an interesting concept and I am really amazed why they do not issue the ICO with that idea? :) I'm living unfortunately in the country where I would not be able to help a lot in that Project, but the idea is very interesting.

I am actually thinking on doing an ICO | ETO where people will be able to get equity of the platform, possibly will run it with neumark. I am also on the look out for an angel investor. Will see how it goes...

Please feel free to check the smartphone apps of the service ;)

in my opinion they don't seem to be interested in marketing because they site management doesn't get a lot of income and also with this service. It's been a long time since they operated but didn't get enough appeal from the bitcoin community.
and this site when there is a giveaway Wink is not so sure how the tip works honestly. But it seems that the site has less interest from the bitcoin community.

Bitfortip won and will be participating on the  BLOCKCHAIN CRUISE  (https://coinsbank.com/cruise-europe?utm_source=coinsbank&utm_medium=banner&utm_campaign=header_banner&utm_content=index#section-event-agenda) as a BItcoin startup.

There will be an exhibition zone on 3 decks aboard the cruise and will function as a marketplace where companies can present their projects and ideas to meet with partners, customers, and investors in person.

It is estimated that 2500+ attendees will be there along with 150+ media representatives from 55+countries.

It is going to be a nice opportunity for the platform.

I remember in 2016 when bitcoin price still not too high in the market like now, it is very unfortunately i was not holding any of bitcoin back then.
to earn bitcoins, you just need to setup your mining rigs. In 2010, you can even mining bitcoin with CPU, but now you must buy some ASIC miners to mine in the current difficulty.

Well there's only 6 questions, or so, in play, but i like the idea.

Developers suck at promoting this website, cause it could be huge.

This is a good idea which are totally rare right now so I'm thinking that this will have a success if they will eat you the right marketing plan for the advertising process. Indeed.

It needs some exposure yes.

The good with this service is that it is addressed to everyone. Not just for people involved in Bitcoin  ;) .

Hi Bill, had a nice time. The debates weren't so good though. Some speeches were worth hearing.

Wish more people were interested on Bitfortip.

It gives a nice use case that can be found useful even for people that are not involved in cryptocurrencies.

I have a suggestion. Integrate Lightning payment to Bitfortip. This might make more people to be interested in your product. Especially, these are early days of Lightning Network. So, it'll bring in an unique value proposition to your project.

Bitfortip is very likely to be included on an upcoming Bitcoin documentary as a use case for cryptocurrencies.

It will help bring more awareness from people around the world.

Bitcoin provide a lot if way to earn money from it. The most easy and trusted way to earn money from cryptocurrency is signature campaign job. In which you just have to post on different bitcoin related topics. And it is a regular source of income too. If you are new at cryptocurrency then don't rush to investment. First you have to understand about the market situation about cryptocurrency. Some other way is mining, trading, gambling etc.

Bitfortip is a useful app even for people that are not involved or interested into Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.

Give a try and search for the smartphone app use case examples on GooglePlay and the AppStore.

YouTube video  (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=62iDBVDlhIU/) showcasing the smartphone app.

Medium article  (https://medium.com/@bitfortip/bitfortip-is-a-social-reward-network-that-members-offer-bitcoin-as-an-incentive-to-others-to-help-f24eb258b3e5/) about the service.
