Post by: marin316 on April 09, 2016, 11:20:32 PM
Hello , I am new to the bitcoins , I've recently downloaded bitcoin core and bought some bitcoins and I've sent some bitcoins from the place i bought them to the bitcoin core on my computer , but then i saw that the bitcoin core needs some time to syncronize, so will my bitcoinrs arrive when it gets synced or did i lost them?

Your coins are already there, so yes, they will appear once syncing finishes.

Do you really need a full wallet? That's a lot of hassle when there are far less demanding wallets that do just as good a job.

There's plenty of choice that doesn't require so much downloading or indexing. You can get wallets for mobile phones as well as PCs that don't require any of that. The 'true' wallet is a fine thing to run but I couldn't be bothered myself.

No, they dont. Only full node wallets (like bitcoin core) fully verify all data. Most other wallets have to rely on either other nodes (e.g. multibit) or servers (e.g. electrum).

bitoin core is just a hudge issue to be sync.. as i understood from your post, concerning your wallet usage,  you dont need to run this kind of software. just download a lightweigt wallet , who dont have to sync the blockchain , like electrum ( as mentioned on the post above ).. , and you will going to avoid a lot of problems.  ;)
