Title: Armory Directory Change Post by: Justous on April 10, 2016, 03:55:25 PM So, the other day, I was downloading the Blockchain via Armory and when it stopped, I found out that it was downloading to my appdata folder on my main hard drive and it had filled up. How can I change the location of the blockchain to another drive?

How can I change the location of the blockchain to another drive? If you go into settings, you can change the data directory of bitcoind and it will download the blocks to that other location.Title: Re: Armory Directory Change Post by: Justous on April 10, 2016, 04:05:24 PM I forgot to add, that when I change the home directory and restart Armory, it says it is offline.

Try starting bitcoin core manually. Uncheck the option to allow armory to start up Bitcoin core automatically then start Bitcon Core manually. To start it manually with the data directory in another place, right click the shortcut to start Bitcoin Core and click Properties. Then in the textbox next to "Target" add to the end of the stuff in thereCode: --datadir=<path to datadir> Title: Re: Armory Directory Change Post by: Justous on April 10, 2016, 04:23:09 PM I did as you said, and Armory still said the same thing, only this time it had a "Go Online!" button next to it. When I clicked this button, nothing happened. Some additional information that might be helpful is: I'm running Windows 10 and the specified datadir is K:\Bitcoin\Bitcoin

You need to then do the same thing to the shortcut for armory when you do this except instead of the option being --datadir, you doCode: --satoshi-datadir=<path to datadir> Title: Re: Armory Directory Change Post by: Justous on April 10, 2016, 04:34:03 PM That worked! Thanks so much! ;D

The Armory program, that is. Title: Re: Armory Directory Change Post by: achow101 on April 10, 2016, 04:42:40 PM Actually, it seems that it keeps crashing every few minutes. The Armory program, that is. Can you post the log files?Title: Re: Armory Directory Change Post by: Justous on April 10, 2016, 04:54:04 PM Once it crashes again, I'll get the log. But it seems that Amory thinks that it is completely synchronized with the network while Bitcoin Core still says that I'm 3 years and 18 weeks behind. It seems to be running alright for now. I'll let you know if anything changes.
