I like the idea but it won't last long, no offense. Once eBay hears about it they will ban it. You need to physically have an item to sell to sell it on eBay...

Be cautious. I currently have several BTC listings on eBay (I am TokDiYel). One of them was flagged for TOU violations, specifically: Currency cannot be sold on eBay.

I think I will either stop selling, or do something like put them onto a USB stick or CD or something...

Shame, too. My flagged post was for 10 bitcoins and had been bid up to $405 and ending this eve.

They can bid retract or not pay you. With the significant value decrease, I expect this will happen.

Sell them as a "Bitcoin Gift Certificate". Print up a pretty picture, give it a face value, and e-mail, then print and mail it. If you are only selling one at a time it is not complicated to keep track of redemption. They would have to restrict other gift card sales to get rid of this. That means lost revenue. If they are going to ban Bitcoins at least make them PAY for it.

Not true at all. You can sell all kinds of digital items including domain names and ebooks. You can also sell codes for game content and time on xbox live, serials for software etc.

Bitcoins are a little different as they are a currency.

However as some others have posted here, a good work around is to sell a physical item like a paper clip and include a "Bonus" of 10 bitcoins or whatever.

Domains are trackable and e-book are infinite quantity. The rest are not. I'm pretty sure it's not allowed to sell virtual goods on eBay that are transferrable and not easily reproduced.
