Title: Join a pool or mine by myself? Post by: aznsniper911 on June 10, 2011, 03:45:30 AM I been mining with a pool ever since I started but I'm starting to wonder if it is more worthwhile to mine by myself. Watcha all think about it?

The point of pooling is to reduce the time it takes for you to get your coins. If you pool mine, you will get tiny payouts but they will occur more frequently than if you were solo mining where you only get 50 coins at a much slower rate (google bitcoin calculator to determine how much you would make). Let me reiterate: you should make the same amount either way.

So pool and save the environment a little :)

The web counter's are simple estimates based on shares submitted, the pool cannot actually read the output your miner gives. Title: Re: Join a pool or mine by myself?
