Whether it be new technology, miners or even an altcoin, what is the best thing to currently invest in?

lisk is a good alt to invest in, some other new altcoin with good algo may be good for the time being, i also invested in a small rig, it's always useul to mine new promising altcoin

I am rather conservative... I think getting a few more Bitcoins is still one of the best investment right now... but if you want to explore a little different things, maybe Ethereum is something worth looking at- I personally have not invested in this...

whenever i think about investing my bitcoin the first thing that comes to my mind is investing it in trading altcoins, or trading in general.
there is always good opportunities in altcoin market, for example right now i believe LISK is going to have a very good month ahead of itself.

i investing some of my bitcoin on lisk for long term investment, i trully believe that the lisk's price will be skyrocket, anyways i was late on ethereum, and then i will not regret for the second time again, the popularity of the altcoin is the key according to law of supply and demand

i might sound dumb but you should invest you money into bitcoin, just buy like 10 bitcoins, and keep them in your wallet for year or more, events like halving this year will make price larger so if you will like price you can sell them this year too, after halving, keep till you will like price and sell then only, this way you will get profit

the best thing to do in every investment if you know that's investments are safe of course you need calculation with your own prediction how many profit you want to take from that's investment before you invest at there.

if you can get a cheap gpu setup going with very little low cost or even barter it for free entirely.

I think you should do deep analysis about any coin that came in market. Few things you have to look at are;
1. No of developers and their experience level
2. How active are those developers and CEO in bitcointalk and other places.
3. How much effort they are putting in their marketing.
4. Supply level and no of premine coin.
5. And roadmap (should be acheiveable type, don't trust going to moon like promises)

I've done this before and it worked perfectly, if only it worked everytime. I'm looking for investments not for quick cash

First and foremost, I would be investing in Bitcoin itself, especially with the upcoming reward halving.

Other than that, I've been investing in dice sites, which have given me a relatively constant stream of profit over the last 2 years or so.
But I would still say that this is a very risky investment, since the website could make a loss due to variance or they could just run away with your money.

These days there's as lot of money to be made by investing into altcoins, but there have also been times where the market for most Altcoins just crashed without much volatility, thus making it difficult to get some ROI.

I'll give DASH a try, it seems like the only crypto other than btc which people would adopt.

I don't have any mining equipment at my place and because of that recently I decided to invest in cloud mining. I saw that Genesis Mining were offering Ethereum and X11 mining so I bought a 1 year's worth of Ethereum mining. I don't know yet if I will be making any profit though. I didn't invest much just a couple hundred dollars however I will be happy with any revenue gained.

Well the Eth would be a great coin to invest with and you can also invest with dode and lite and wait for the lunch of lisk that is also a great coin.

well genesis mining may be just like other cloudmining site (zueshash) or I should say a ponzi scheme so yeah... just be careful when investing in those cloudmining I have to say. It's usually not recommended to do so. I think just buy some bitcoins and wait for the price got pumped up and we are ready to make some money

Etherum is one of the great crypto currency that you can invest it has potential to be a rival with bitcoin as we can see in the price is growing.

it is so hard to find a decent thing to invest in these days. you can never know which one of them are scamming you and which one are just going to die soon. like ethereum which had an interesting rise but it looks very unstable and risky to invest in.
for the future i have LISK under observation to see how its future is going to be like

Yeah there has been an army of crypto that has been created and only last a few months after its launch,Lisk is great now but i dont know if it will be able to compete with Ethereum when it launches in the market.

Lisk Team has great marketing team. It is now popular, on its first day and succeeding days in Yobit it reach upto .01 BTC. Now it plunges back to 490,000 satoshi more or less. May its quite stable now.

Seems that lisk just resting for quite a while but will bounce back after the all, also try checking rbies that alt have a very good potential because of many investor already showing interest to use the coins.

Ether is a good altcoin to invest in and it has quite many traders dealing in this currency. I don't trust other altcoins but dogecoins too have a good future. Rest, the best crypto currency is only bitcoins as most altcoins have a life of max 6 months - 1 year. To trade them also it gets difficult.

Yeah the longer the alt coin is the harder it is to trade and might lose its value when bitcoin suddenly pump up,eth is still competitive now and i think it is a good investment.

I used to get it from distribution I usually wait a couple of weeks and look at exchange sites. the price has reached a high enough. it is an investment with little risk :D

I feel like almost every altcoin project is only looking good in the begining. After some time everyone is going back to bitcoin.

but I find that Doge and LTC is quite old coin without many new innovatives despite their reliability. ETH and DASH may be a better option to invest in my opinion

Currently I will not suggest any other currency to invest in but only bitcoin, as everyone is interested in bitcoin and everyone is giving value to bitcoin andalso the adopters of it are increasing and will continue to increase till the halving in the July of this years, afetr that I think we will have to think about any other crypto technology to invest in.

I think better to keep investing in bitcoin cause altcoins is stuff for trading honestly, a lot of people trying themself in altcoins and success is so rare thing.

It all comes down to which you decide to invest in, not many of them are worth investing in right now.

Unless an alt outpaces the increase in value of Bitcoin percentile wise, it will be losing value and it will be better to exchange them for Bitcoin and wait.

That is technically how it should work, anyways.

I would find 2 or three good altcoins to trade but you need really to be a good trader to profit fro altcoins. Also many new coins that come out have some free promo offers to collect free coins which eventually you can sell off to buy bitcoin, that doesn't cost anything except your time.

Just look at coinmarketcap.com the top 10 or 20 altcoins are established and less of a risk then most others.

Why is everyone unable to reach and to afford the bitcoin price, if someone want to invest in bitcoin then no matter how much amount he wants to invest, he can invest, he can also invest at $1 easily.

when i saw the Lisk's price on Yobit, i questioning my self, damn, why i didn't bought much lisk when the ICO was held.
Now i just buy back, hoping the price will be like etherum.

I would look into Nexus as it has made real world connections with the rocket industry and is looking to launch nodes into space to help further decentralize the decentralization.

Bitcoin. All of the alts are based off of this original premise; the most funding has been put into bitcoin. The alts all are cool, but they aren't as accepted as bitcoin is, currency wide. Bet on the oldest and most trusted of cryptos, the original.

The Ehtereum smart contract platform could be good to invest, but you have to know how to write a right contract.

I currently subscribed to an investing site cryptonium with 10% interest every minimum investment of .001 bitcoins.  I think it is going fine since it is my first time to invest.  Just hope that everything would be alright.  I do not put all my bitcoins to that site since we do not know what will happen.  Try to search some site and join some group for guidelines.

I like Decred as a unique combination of PoW and PoS. I invested a bit, was able to get 20% per a month in the beginning with PoS.
I sold it, now waiting to get in again.

The Monero price has risen a lot in the past 6 months. The price might be too high now. Maybe we should wait.

I do not think it would succeed anymore, it was overly pump and overvalued so now it is falling hard, I have already lose my confidence of what I am seeing now, everyday it always fall back and maybe it will go back to its normal price.

It has both anonymous and non anonyous address. I am not sure if that is better than Monero. But Monero is mailny mined by botnet now.

I have been telling people about moonlite for months!  It is the only thing of it's kind and was created in 2016!  I think it is truly worth consideration.  Many times people will not wish to download software just to send money (security risk)...and so this solves that problem.  Plus the "mining" taps into the burgeoning "attention economy".

bitcoin is not a good time to invest in but the alt coin it would be a best time to invest in .the price of zcash and lisk would go up so it is a better time to invest them in it .

you can wait qtum coin if you want invest in altcoin
qtum coin, the new technology and good technologi, qtum coin use beetwen ethereum technology and bitcoin technology
or you can try byteball coin, unique distribution coin, and new system distribution coin

there are many option for us to invest our bitcoin in altcoin, my suggestion is try with ETC because for me, ETC is good to invest and the price is making good movement, have solid dev and they make an update. the other altcoin i think is litecoin, doge, dash, and for this altcoin, i think they have big chance to get wake up. but for the best crypto currencies that you can invest is have a bitcoin in your wallet  ;D

Bitcoin, ETH/LISK/XMR/DASH all with potentials, though you should never listen to people only, go and take a look in their sites to see what are they offering.

There are some interesting project coming out soon like Rootstock, Qtum and Iex. You can read more about them, good team behind each project and interesting technology.

I have some investment in EDR, some in ETH and I have also invested in some bitcoin domains (that's my main business actually). I never tried mining because of the limitation of knowledge and less ROI as compared to that of other businesses and later I found that cloud mining was not worth it so I never tried it.

It's difficult to find an altcoin with good potential because one or more reasons, I have no shame in confessing that I had my investments is many shitty coins in my early phase of investing and I suffered a great loss in that so I would advise you to be extremely careful while investing.

This is good advice you give to the forum for sure....so I will like to explain how you can mine moonlite coin.  By posting a comment in a social media chat room, etc you have now begun to mine the moonlite coin.  As the comment gains or falls in popularity is how much minine reward you get.  So the goal is to be correct or to comment on popular things then you will earn more "mining" rewards.

Zcash is awesome and it contains a lot of potential advantages. The more you use it, the more awesome it can be. About 5 or 10 years later, i bet that zcash will be mostly used by hackers and it will affect other people alot. The anonymity will make zcash become even greater than bitcoin. However, you need to be patient if you want to invest your money in Zcash because there is nothing can ensure that it will become popular in about 1 or 2 years. You should hold about 5 years if you want to have some profit

Good to know update on mooncoin.  This had been around since 2013.


Anyway I think WBB is  one of the good choice together with ETH, Dash and Monero.  But I still think   Bitcoin Blockchain is the best one to invest with our money.

what issues? there are no issue with zcash, it was just dumped because the initian inflation was very very low, block reward increase after that and the price tanked as a result

also the distribution of zcash will change in 4 years when miners will get everything, zcash can still surprise us with a good pump to 0.1 or more, monero is already very high it will be hard for it to reach 0.03 like etheruem did

The ZCash is under active development. So the price could rise a lot in the future.

For me you better choose the ethereum , litecoin , monero , Dash, and komodo this altcoin have potential to increase in the future. My number the best altcoin for me is ethereum I see tha potential of this coin last 1 year ago when I bought ether and after 1 year my monry becomes times 5 if I sell this now . But I wait 1 year more because I believe this coin not reach the high price so I can wait I want make more profit. I hope my money become times 10 up to 20.

In my point of view invest in alternative coin is good idea, we can take some profit from Movement price of alternative coin which seems very nice for a trader. Alternative coin is good option for investment to you if you are a trader.

Invest in ICN,TAAS, MELONPORT and you do not need to invest in any other crypto for these projects will take care of your investment.
ICN invested in Golem and byteball and earned 1000 ETH profit from recent Golem pump.

I really like the idea of creating lightining network, it really has made me curious about this theory, it might be a great solution of online payments.
Golem is also something that might bring a great returns, it is a new technology that gains more and more interest among investors as we can see, Im also considering about putting some of my funds into it.

The best thing about investing in particular technology, is that you dont invest in some coin which may be dumped, the asset you invest in has got a back-up in form of smart idea, some technology which may proove itself very precious.

Anyway, I cannot understand why do you think that ethereum is worth to invest in, it doesnt really matters that they are alive for long on crypto markets, you should give us some specific reason.
Also, "price always changes" is something rather clear, because every asset changes it's price, but it is not a reason to invest in,  unless you are a daily trader earning on price difference.

Not only ETH, but other crypto like Dash, steem etc are also have a long term future. I think you can invest in the top 20 coins available at Poloniex ( Bitcoin/Cryptocurrency Exchange) and you are safe to go.

I would stick with major altcoins like etheriun, dash, or litecoin and maybe a few others. The minor altcoins are probably riskier. Also, diversify with several coins and some bitcoin as well.

But I never believe into any of altcoins. I am just a pure bitcoin holder. I am very much sure when bitcoin prices will be reaching huge levels like in millions, altcoins will hit values almost equivalent to nothing. Because they need to maintain their dollar equivalent value which will force them to get dumped.

The best crypto technology till date must be bitcoin alone. Keep your investments there and have peace of mind for your rest of life too.

ethereum is proving popular and well established seeing the number of altcoins based on its script, it wont be long before it goes to the moon..so better invest now while the price is low.

That is the beauty about investments its a gamble when you go for a minority altcoin and one day it will payback good money  ;)

We have to suggest him about ethereum if he is looking for short term investment because in ethereum there is not much services so any time if the investors started to sell then the price will fall while bitcoin is now widely used for different services by different companies so it has a strong base.

Ethereum is only on its way down now, the pump is over and while I don't think it's getting dumped, it's definitely not going much higher, at least for a long time.

Currently the one the makes a lot of noise is Litecoin [LTC] due to the possible activation of Segwit.  So if you are into investing to technology, I would say Litecoin for now, or Bitsend (since it is also into Segwit).  Some said crypto banking is good but well it defeats the purpose why we are into crypto anyway.  We are escaping banks aren't we?

You can invest in bitcoin and litecoin because i do believe that they are both good for long term. I bought a lot of litecoins for a cheap price few months ago and we can see that the price is already high but i'm still holding litecoin because i believe that it will go even further and bitcoin can also go even further on its price because of the good news like different types of improvements and adoption.

The first thing that comes in my mind to invest in is Bitcoin and followed by altcoins. Bitcoin first as its price is fluctuating and I choose altcoin which is keep pump in the exchange. I invest in Eth, LTC which I believe it will pump eventually.

I would like only to invest in either btc or ETH . Well for altcoin it is as risky as you gamble. Unless you are sure 100% about any alt coin do not invest much in it.  While btc is the best for investment in the long run as well.

For me much better to put your money in bitcoin for long term, but if you are looking for short term income go for altcoin because all we know that bitcoin is much safer and also you can do lot of things in bitcoin if you want it.

Short-term or long-term investments in bitcoin has become the primary choice I think. But if asked altcoin, you're right to be good for the short-term. Investments in altcoin most interesting to me is ETH, because I think ETH has a good future and there is the potential to continue to grow. Very rarely altcoin worth it to used for investment because only a few that have a good performance and most altcoin difficult or even not grow.

to me i think those people who cannot afford to trade dash or etherium, then they have some other options as they can trade cheap coins from which they can really make good priofit as there are some cheap coin with good potential to increase in its price.

Without proper education and preparation, nobody should even think about starting making money on trading.
You should also always consider what is your amount that you are willing to spend on trading purposes, because with something small, like 50$ you pretty much should stay away from this kind of activity.
I propose for all those people who want to start trading, but cannot afford it because the most known altcoins prices are too high, then first find a job, earn some money, and start thinking about making up profits from trading, only when you will have decent amount to start with, such as 300-400$, it is fairly enough to begin your journey with trading altcoins.

I'm planning to try this year to go on ETH I don't know why but i feel like in etherium i can make more money. but ofcourse im still gonna go with bitcoin but with a mild partnership in ETH there's no bad in investing in both in that case you can make more money and more chances to be rich. trust me . the more you invest the more money you harvest. :D

Stay with the original one; bitcoin.

I am not against altcoins. They have their uses in certain conditions but no matter how many bells and whistles they got, they all are copycats of bitcoin in the end.

Take Ethereum for example. Eth users say that Eth isn't an alt coin but it is something more advanced than bitcoin. They say it is not a currency but a platform where you can apply smart contracts and stuff... Guess what? Nobody cares. All people care about is money. They don't give a crap about eth's mega tech. Not to mention they got fucked by a random hacker in its early days and got a fork because of this. ETH is a fuck up. Would you pick up a big pile of horse shit from the road if you see one, I wouldn't, because that's what ETH exactly is.

The only altcoin is worth to mention is monero because of its anonymity but still i wouldn't bother. Bitcoin is more than enough for everything.

I think the best thing to do is buying and selling bitcoins because bitcoin kinna dominates the market of digital currency. though there are some few good altcoin to invest on like Litecoin, Dogecoin, Ethereum and Dash. These are all good altcoins to invest on if you are interested on investing on altcoins. For me, I prefer buying and selling BTC because it's more profitable and it also has instant profits.

Doesn't he said that Ethereum is worth investing because it is so long on current market and the price always changes.  That might be shallow but that is enough reason for him to suggest Ethereum as one good investment.  You may or may not agree with him though.  And the price changes is called fluctuation which is normal to all stuff in the market.

You can make money, as well as you can lose it. That's called pump and dump ponzi scam. Anything other than bitcoin is exactly P&D.

Even if it is a pump and dump coin, if you timed it right, you still make money from it. In th end it is still a good short term investment. But if you are only looking for long term investments, you'll have to stick to bitcoin.

Pump and dump coin is one of the great source of fast earned bitcoin because it is very volatile and it is manipulated so you can join that hype to earn decent amount of bitcoin. You need to remember that we need to be very careful with that pump and dump because one just wrong buy in will result to a big loss.

I think the safest, smartest, easiest, cheapest way to invest in crypto currency is just to hold on to your money and wait for the price to hopefully rise to double what it is now increasing your profit. That is just my opinion though. But whatever you invest in, make sure you thoroughly check it out to make sure it is not some sort of ponzi scheme or something and that it really will pay off.

I have now ETH and BTC they're both worth it to invest for. I've been gaining enough profit from both of these so if you have some plans to invest on try this on they're great when it comes on growing their value.
