No problem man. Was just a quick scan, you can probably find more if you dig deeper.

You want to watch FW Murnau's 1924 silent film "Der Letzte Mann" / "The Last Laugh". Though almost entirely studio shot, it replicates the dichotomy in living conditions between rich and poor very very well as well as the prevalence of Standesdünkel (class snobbery) and Gehorsamspflicht (duty of obedience). It's up on youtube.

That's because they sell you Copyright Clearance while you're at it.

Quote
When you place an order for unmarked (no CriticalPast logo) clips and images on CriticalPast.com, they are licensed to you royalty-free, in perpetuity, for all media, worldwide.

These services cater mostly to media production companies.

copyright should be clear because the original videographers are dead

Doesn't work that way with foreign works I'm afraid. Automatic copyright restoration removed millions of works out of the public domain back under copyright.

You can read up on it here. It's a clusterfuck:

That might even be possible. I'd contact the CCC if I were you: http://www.copyright.com/content/cc3/en.html
They even got a live chat on there for advice on that sort of question.
