Title: I need some beta testers for binary options testing
Post by: bitoption on June 10, 2011, 04:28:07 AM
I need some beta testers for Binary options trading on bitoption.org.

It's MOSTLY done, and I'd like to see some trading on it, just a little before I go more broadly.

If you don't know what a binary option is, it's a very simple derivative; you purchase a 'call' or a 'put' at a point in time. If, at the close date, the underlying security is above the price at your point in time, and you bought a call, you get a certain payout. (Roughly 155-160% likely in this case). If not, you get nothing, it expires out of the money.

A put would payout the same if the price was below.

I have a few things I'm worried about doing this including server load, and I'd like to open it up slowly; PM me or respond here if you're interested.

You'll need a funded bitoption account, but those are easy to get, of course. :)

I am currently using a couple of other Binary Option companies. One is with Crypto currencies. I went to your site & I see you are in the UK. I don't see any terms & conditions. The platform I am using now can basically do what ever they want as stated in their Terms. So my problem with them is if you start winning trades, they start turning the platform off so you can not place a trade. I call them & they turn it back on for me, however they turn off all the trading times I used to be profitable. They did this 2 days in a row with me. So on BTC the shortest time I can now trade is 2 hours. Needless to say I am looking for a new company. If you need a Beta Tester I have experience with 5 Different Binary Options companies over the last 4 years. Let me know.

Thanks,
Scott

Just a few questions before I test this out. Obviously, there's going to be some risk involved with a funded account:

1. Shouldn't the payout be closer to 2 if it's going to be the same for either call or put? Or is there something I don't understand about 1.5/1.6.
2. What would the min/max be, and what are the limits we need to be aware of? (Max # bets, max same type, etc.)
3. Auto payouts?

PM me a page/link to try. I'll reply with further qs.

Beta testing is  a vague term.If I was you,I'd consider testing a very important part of the application as binary options has multiple complicated test cases in the production environment which can't be overlooked upon. Here's what I recommend,
  - > Get initial testing done of your UI components using Mocha/Chai of course depending on your stack.
  - > Get stress testing done using a lot of tools out there.
  - > Find a pen tester for regression testing and server side loads.
  - > There is lot of to be tested on the back-end too.
