Title: Scammer tag - PPT-PR *Nevermind, not worth the effort.
Post by: MPOE-PR on February 13, 2013, 12:48:15 PM
We all know it's that thieving Patrick Harnett character trying to evade his well earned scam tag, so let's let the noobs know too.

I wouldn't have bothered, but he's making noises.

(Scammers: you are always back. That's why we're better than you. Remember that.)

It is my understanding that that PPT-PR is a collective of Pirate Pass Through's who are working together to monitor and possibly legally recover any funds from the Bitcoin Savings and Trust default.

This group may or may not include Patrick Harnett.

They are certainly entitled to be present on this board as Patrick Harnett or collectively as PPT-PR.

MPOE-PR, what's your excuse??

Go back in your hole.

In the immortal words of the Virgin Micon, I'd give you a quarter to buy a clue, but then I'd be wasting a quarter.

Hah!  Good one!

On another note, if what BCB said is correct (which is doubtful, considering that he often spews "info" about topics that he knows nothing about. I never said this.), I think they have a right to be here.

They have a right to be here.  The community also has a right to be deeply skeptical of any claims that the PPT operators were victims and to regard them as willing accomplices of pirate.

They certainly have a right to be here. AS SCAMMERS.

I'm not proposing the account be banned, just marked accordingly. For that matter, if Patrick Harnett had come to terms with his own idiocy/incompetence, he'd simply be using his marked account rather than dicking around on transparent PR bs.

I thought Patrick bought out all the other partners ?

This is true.  It is proper operating procedure to add a scammer tag or even ban users that try to bypass the scammer tag with a new account.  The is no reason this 'group of individuals' that are trying to collect from pirate need to use a new account.  They can use their own accounts to post information.

You're never going to convince me that every single PPT operator was too stupid to realise that pirate was operating a ponzi, so I'm not really in favour of anything which allows them anonymity now.  The chances are that at least some of them had none of their own funds at risk when pirate's ponzi collapsed.

PPT-PR represents the interests, opinions, information repository and anger of several of the PPT operators.  Collectively we lost tens of thousands of BTC principal and it is here so we can contribute when we can.  PH is not directly involved but several of the PPT operators do know him and talk to him from time to time.

And along with all the "principle" they also apparently lost the last English dictionary/thesaurus remaining in New Zealand.

Meh, it's not like they're trying to start another business or take anyone's money, I'm sure they'll use yet another account for that.

It's not a bad idea for the PPT ops to have an anon account to post on since Pirate has successfully threatened them in the past in order to get information removed.

I guess that's a point.
