Title: Bitmessage is ostensibly ready for wider adoption but needs an independent audit Post by: Atheros on February 13, 2013, 08:29:54 PM Does anyone know a security researcher who might be willing to review Bitmessage (https://Bitmessage.org) looking for potential problems? It would be irresponsible for me to go about promoting the software and making claims about its security before it has been audited. Even a review of the relatively short pyelliptic (https://github.com/Bitmessage/PyBitmessage/tree/master/pyelliptic) OpenSSL wrapper (written by a different developer) would be helpful.
Bitmessage shares various technologies with Bitcoin like the message/transaction transfer mechanism and the encryption and hashing algorithms. In the future they could be more tightly integrated. Thank You, Atheros https://Bitmessage.org (https://Bitmessage.org) |
