It might happened because of deleted posts after the account reach the activity. He may have posted "hidden" address (in deleted pm that is still visible from account he sent it to etc.) and after you have bought the account he can get it back by saying he got hacked and proving that he owns the account with the hidden address. And escrow won't help either because if the address is in deleted message you don't know about it before they use it to get the account back.
