What's the amount that you think everyone should have before the halving block reward ? (amount that should make you make a good profit) :P  :P

Whatever suits your financial situation shall be the right amount.  Rationally, one also ought to hold a stack of Monero.

I'm not sure if you are just speaking or advertising the coin but I'm pretty convinced that Monero is not going anywhere , just like Ethereum. It's just pure manipulation (for what comes to the price) .

What would you suggest could be the right amount to hold that would produce a nice chunk of profit? :)

there is no "should" when it comes to this.
what you are asking is for people who are doing an investment so it means they should invest what they can afford to lose. hence making it different for each different person.

For the poor people like us, I think I will try to collect one to five bitcoin and make some profit after halving.

Everyone had aimed at some amounts and earned some coins according to their abilities, within Halving they will earn the coins whatever methods they suggest it can be investing, gambling or it can be simply holding.

Don't know what's going to happen come July but it should be interesting.   Well OP, how much do you yourself expect it to rise?  Do you or anyone else here think it's going to double?  If so, bet the farm.  Buy 100 btc if you can.

To be ready for the halving, one should have exactly as much bitcoin as they can get. The more you have before the price  shoots up, the better.

As much as you can afford or as much as you can earn.. But in my situation right now, I only keep small amount as I am not sure about this halving if it would really make good money and besides, that's all that I kept from the time I start collecting bitcoin and I don't want to gamble on this event too much...

Yes same situation are here with me, because i also have not enough bitcoins, but i think most of the members are here in bitcointalk which have not enough bitcoins just like we. but may be i m wrong, i have litter thinking, but it all depending on us how we use our bitcoins and get profit,     

Just as all the users said before me and probably what the other users will say after, it differs from person to person (I know it's not the exact words but it means nearly the same).
For the average third-worlders, 1-20BTC is a really good profit already. And for the others, well, I'm not too sure myself. It depends on how dedicated and how much investment the person is willing to spend.

Each to their own, I would say whatever you currently hold and are happy with should be enough, I would not recommend taking out any loans or putting yourself into form of debt in the hopes the halving will make you rich.

25? joke aside, there is not a precise number try to accumulate as much as possible before the halving, or before bitcoin skyrocket, because i'm betting that after that it will be harder to have bitcoin

Someone in capable of restoring 10 bitcoins aside prior to halving would surely have good amount of profit but the number can't be the same for everyone because each have their own capabilities and have different wealth to accumulate in bitcoin.

For me 20 btc is enough for to live with family after block halving the profit of 20 btc is double and i can start a new business online using my bitcoin so that i can help my parents and and my family to build a new house...

Around the 3 bitcoins is already good if you ask me, its all about the profit and you never know what will happen maybe the bitcoin will not even be good at all.
so I think it will be better to not spend all your money you have for it.

I've 11 bitcoins ready for the halving and I consider this as a good amount to start the halving.
The halving will let us make profit and I even if you have 1 bitcoin it already will be good.

Doesn't matter because I don't expect anything big to happen when halving happened.
The real effect will set in with a delay of a few months I believe.
So there's still enough time for accumulation before another crazy bubble, rally starts.

I'm hoping to have at least half a bitcoin, but I'm just starting out so of course my goal is pretty mediocre. Assuming you have the funds to risk I would expect people to buy at least 1 or 2BTC.

If you're a high-risk investor you could invest maybe 50% o your portfolio in btc, if you're low risk (or don't have much to risk) 5% might make more sense.

It depends on the possibilities of everyone. I am holding about 1.5 BTC and that is about 40-30% of what I could afford from my savings.

If we all buy 1 bitcoin to be ready for the halving, the bitcoin price will be at least $600 or more. We have 500,000 forum members.

You should have as many as possible but atleast 1 whole bitcoin if you can't afford more.If price goes up as expected,you can make good profit even with one coin

it's depends about how much you can earning bitcoin or how much your money now.

this is such a general question that nobody can give one particular answer to.

because it depends on your situation, how much money you have and how much you want to invest in bitcoin and take risks. 1BTC can be enough for one person while others won't stop at 100BTC even.

I can't even get one full coin in such a short span of time, let alone 500. I'd be glad if I someone with those amount would donate to me even just one bitcoin but that'd probably impossible since nearly nobody would randomly donate ~$450 to a stranger.

If all forum members have at least one bitcoin, that will raise the bitcoin price by several times at least.
