Gambling with Bitcoin is a grey area. Nothing specifically forbids it.
Unless your state has a law forbidding gambling all together, you should be able to play wherever you want.

Some exchanges ban your account if you directly send your coins to a gambling site, so you should be careful about that.

Sites can deny people they want and it's usually to avoid legal trouble.
If you're wondering, US is one of the countries with the most restrictive online gambling laws. Make sure you look up state laws too.

And then you have to look up sites that don't really care about knowing their customers.

Online gambling is illegal in the US. Not only Bitcoin gambling, but all money gambling in general. What’s allowed?
Some free online games, fantasy leagues, and Indian gaming sites that aren’t strictly defined as Internet gambling.

Then just gamble at the sites which are not concerned about where a user is from, also make sure that they don't require you to fill up the KYC information or provide any documents, you can check their T&Cs for that. BTC is mostly pseudonymous, so it can only be tracked when buying/selling it on an exchange which require you to provide credentials, use mixers and no one can know whether you send/received bitcoins to/from a gambling site. You can also use VPN for more anonymity, although it is not recommended because you can become a victim of MITM attack.

If you want to bypass this kind of restrictions you can always use a
(private)  VPN. In that way you can access any site you want. Good luck!

Choose a website that doesn't verify your identity (anonymous), and a great vpn provider that doesn't log your request.

I don't know about the offline casinos but there are a number of online casinos which are from USA and are allowing people to join with bitcoin, I think after bitcoin establish to offline world, it will be allowed to offline casinos also.

I think the OP knows about it, but like the title says. he asks about the legal ways.
but you are right, using the vpn and the problem is finished. legal or illegal because it was not important in the game of gambling.

Bitcoin is a currency that is not bound to any law, so if you want to use the Bitcoin to gamble in one State, then you need not look for tau law what applies the country about how to use Bitcoin. In the u.s. There is no law stating that Bitcoin is prohibited to use, so you can use the Bitcoin gambling with the country. But keep in mind there are some States that prohibit gambling and there are several wallets that prohibit transactions to a gambling site, so you must know very well about it and always be careful so as not to negatively affect

The point with bitcoin gambling is the way you are sending/receiving that is tolerated. Services such as coinbase won't allow you receive from an online casino but others such as xapo does. It all has to do with the legality on their website's TOS.

Actually that depends whether you are allowed to gamble in USA ? if no then even if some site provide gambling for USA. I guess if you migrate to different county means you will be able to rid off any legal issues associated for your gambling.

Yes its pretty much a grey area. Some websites do allow it and some don't. But if some don't allow, it then it means the rest of the websites won't allow it in the future also.

There are almost all sites that accept USA members ( PD closed recently ) but I am not sure if that is legal since you are playing on a site and that site maybe itself is not legal. Most of the gambling sites do not allow members when accessing from restricted country's IPs.

That's right. I've seen many posts last year that Coinbase started blocking out users for using gambling sites.
Coinbase is a US based service so that's probably why they do not allow users to use their service for gambling.

This is actually off. This deals with fiat-based gaming -- not Bitcoin, which is a commodity. It's a gray area because nothing governs against it. As long as the laws remain how they are, with BTC as a commodity, it will remain okay to do so.

I think the online casino here which accept bitcoin for their payent are legal at USA, there a lot of online casino where a lot of members are from USA and are playing safely and a number of casinos owners are also from USA, so I think online are legal for USA. and don't lknow about offline casinos.

Well consider that if you use Coinbase and if they detect that you deposited funds that came from a gambling site, they are forced to close your account. That is pretty severe.

You shouldn't be storing coins there, regardless. They should go: Coinbase -> your wallet -> whatever you want to send elsewhere. Don't use them as a wallet and you won't have issues.

we should not have to use coinbase directly for funding any casino site, there are a number of other sites available which are also rich with good features, if someone want to fund their gambling account then they should have to use that wallets .

Either they are just too lazy for another wallet to use..

Or just not educated enough on what can go wrong at exchanges, or not hearing enough horror stories of how a exchange can close up shop.

With coinbase I`m more concerned on the lack of support, so if something does go wrong not getting the right order is will they honor it..

If they're too lazy or uneducated, they shouldn't be messing with it at ALL. Just like anything else, the less you know, the more dangerous you are to yourself. Would you go rip apart your car's engine to try and fix an issue if you don't know the first thing about cars and aren't even looking at a video/guide/manual/etc.? I seriously hope not. And if you wouldn't do that, what makes you think putting your money in the hands of someone else in the hopes that you will get it back a good idea? Seriously, it's not hard to get educated. If people are having their accounts locked down or flat-out lost because of stupidity, that's on them -- nobody else.

Well, if you do online gambling, of course its legal. I can't think of a reason why betting with BTC would be illegal especially in the USA.

It sure seems like it should be legal, but I remember trying to play satoshidice when I used to live in the US and it was blocked specifically because I was in the US.  I had to access the site through TOR to be able to play.  I don't know what all of the legal details were, but it sounded like they decided to block the US so that they didn't have to worry able legal problems.

Legal BTC gambling in the USA? If you're worried your coinbase etc. will be closed for gambling you could use Bitmixer.io to mix your coin from your exchange wallet to your personal wallet and after gambling mix them to the exchange. There's various places where you can play if you're from the USA. Try BitDice.me (http://BitDice.me) for example.

Coinbase very careful in controlling every transaction conducted by a user using the service. So I guess in the US gambling law BTC nothing forbids, there is only a wallet BTC which prohibits any transaction used to gamble and illegal things like Coinbase. It is so good for those users that have never done Illegal deals and to gamble, but it is absolutely interfere with those who do illegal transactions and to gamble. You can use the Wallet other than Coinbase if want to do gambling using BTC

You missed my point did you. If you send coins from coinbase to a separate wallet directly and then gamble coinbase can still ban your ass. However, if you send the coins to your wallet through bitmixer, coinbase cannot track the transaction down.

I understand what you're saying, indeed all the transactions carried out on the Coinbase will surely always be tracked. and to avoid it then we should replace the wallet with the other vendors BTC did not prohibit it. If making a purchase through Coinbase, then immediately move it to another wallet btc (Blockhain, Bitmixer, etc.)

In this case bitcoin mixer service can be used and it may work as i have seen lots of other members of coinbase saying they are doing this successfully. After mixing it will be impossible for them to traced your source of bitcoin. Good luck, convert your money to bitcoin from coinbase and mix it to blockchain address and than only deposit it to online bitcoin casino and again do same back till you sell your coin.
