If you look at older quotes, such as this one:
A quote It makes grammatical sense with the date. It only doesn't make sense with your example as SMF turns the current date into the string 'Today'.It could probably be fixed in about 1 or 2 lines of code, but with the new forum software looming it would be a waste of time for something so small.
