Title: Lost my bitcoins
Post by: LibertyHunter on April 21, 2016, 11:33:46 AM
Hi I bought 0.7 bitcoin from bitbargain then tried to send the coins to my bitcoin core wallet.  I clicked on request payment in the software which generated an address which I sent the coins to but they have not showed up.  I'm really stressed over this and I'm wondering if anyone can help.  I sent BitBargain an email but they have not replied.  What can I do here?

Do you have any transaction id's you can show us, or at least he address you were sending the coins from/to?

I'm sure you haven't finished sync blockchain data on your bitcoin core wallet, so your wallet doesn't show that transaction.
Blockchain size is very big (more than 60GB), but with pruned mode, you only need to download 2-3GB.

If you have slow internet connection, you also use SPV wallet such as electrum and import your private key there.

I didn't think about that (yet), but this is indeed the most obvious explanation... However, we can only make sure if the OP gives us the address that was generated by his bitcoin-qt wallet.

this one have possibilites to happen, for checking whether your bitcoin was landing in your address or not, try to check your address through blocktrail, blockchain.info,or anything similiar, if your btc was landing there, then it's fine

I think your bitcoin core client didn't synced completely as above friend said.. I downloaded bitcoin core last month. it took 6 days to synchorisation. and I delete that..
don't worry. you'll get your money when your wallet sync completely done.

What you need to do is to avoid deleting anything... It seems like a sync issue to me. Get the public key and try an online block explorer to check the balance.

I also thought that the problem that you are naturally occurs because your bitcoin Wallet are not completely synchronized bitcoin wallet, because offline takes quite a long time to synchronize the wallet compared to wallets online (blockhain), I advice you could make a wallet to receive the funds reserves for a while. Once you receive the new funds you send to your core wallet hopefully helpful.

I had the same problem days ago, transfer bitcoins to many places, and not paying attention because it was copy? paste the addresses and until the late realized that bitcoins had not arrived in their respective addresses and sent ticket support and they told me that they had not received anything and see if I was not virus and found it was virus

see when you copy the address and paste corresponded doing the same address

be patient, maybe it was just a mistake and the system may be immediately processed, if not, maybe you can send an email to the person concerned or admin

Yes, be patient.  And more each day be patient.  The blocks are totally full now.  Knowing whether or not a transaction is processed is not possible any longer unless you wait of 5 or 6 days.  You must just hope that it finally gets into a block.  hope and pray and wait.  That is the system.  Don't worry, nearly everyone else is doing the same thing.  Lots, and lots of transactions are sitting in never, never mempool.  This is how Blockstream wants it.  So they can sell you a solution later.

You see, the system is intentionally set up like this by G.Maxwellian.  Nearly everyone else wants to fix it by adjusting one line of code.  But that would spoil Blockstream's grand plans for their little private solution and a toll booth to use it.

I have experienced like this, because my pc trouble. but I quickly noted the private key from the desktop wallet then import them to blockchain wallet. I agree tobacco123 says, you should not remove anything let alone uninstall your wallet. just copy your private key first. Thank you

Wow, I just knew that. many people have a problem with bitcoin core wallet. Better to use the online wallet in the future. the best step for you copies your private key at first

This would likely be the scenario. wallet didnt synch yet and for that 60 GB size? it will take days to downlaod if you have a slower internet. When I'm still a newbie, Ive experience also this before. As I am excited to received my first satoshi, you cant wait to experience having it. A little delay, ad frustrations  too :)

Just be patient and check your Tx ID on blocktrail if its already moving ;)

I am sorry to hear that and it is quite bad indeed that you are now losing your Bitcoin around this time because the value of Bitcoin started to rise.
And you have maybe made some profit with it so you can earn some money if you had to sell it on the right moment, you have to be careful.

Pretty bad that you lost some of Your Bitcoins just when the price is rising you lost your Bitcoins. That is why you have to stay extra careful these days.
If I lost some of my Bitcoins I would be so mad.

first, check your bitcoin address to which you withdraw your bitcoin on any block explorer like blockchain.info. if you find your transaction there and confirmed then don't worry. it is just a matter of time til your wallet finish syncing. if you find no transaction, then maybe the site did not send you the btc yet so try to contact them again and make sure you wrote your correct address

I think also that OP get confused and don't know what to do it happens occasionally, especially if the bitcoin core didn't synchronized well. You can try other lite desktop wallet OP like Electrum. Perhaps delayed.

You have to be careful with your Bitcoin and that is because it is hard to know what will happen in the future and you can now see that it is rising at the moment.
So you have to hold it and not to be greedy otherwise you are making mistakes.

I think OP get his issue resolved already , because there is no update nor replies from him to this thread, after posting his problem. May be it was just a temporary funding problem.

Exactly that might got resolved. Such issues often happen with trading sites due to network as well failed updates.

I think OP just went dark on us. He has not been on since he made this thread which is kind of unclear for all of us whether he got his problem fixed or what. Seeing that op hasn't made a reply, maybe his problem is fixed? I sure do hope so.

the OP should be showing id transaction or wallet of bitcoin because it is very poor info, there are not people who can help without address bitcoin. it is uncomplete.

Keep check of your bitcoins at all times if possible.

You must be careful what are you doing related to you bitcoin. Because we are all know there are many scammers online. And post here the Transaction ID so we can know where or what wallet address you send that amount of bitcoin. And you just make an account here just to post that. What an effort.
