It is not a Game over but rather a transit to an Eternity Life. Death is a the last Turn that none is above it.

I'm not sure if I have enough information to form any kind of sold answers at this time. I do however know that in the last 24 hours since I joined Reddit as a new user, my posts relating to the subject of death are being censored.

since i have not offered my views i guess i will do so. i personally believe once you're dead that's it. game over. but i am not ignorant enough to say with any certainty that is the end result. i want to believe in something more. but i have difficulty placing faith in anything that is unseen and unproven. but just because what happens after death is unseen and unproven doesn't mean it doesn't exist so i do keep an open mind. anything is possible.

Game of Thrones will show us on Sunday death isn't final. Ask John Snow.

You mean John Targarian? Lots of theories about that but who knows what will happen. They kill off main characters all the time and there are plenty left to keep us entertained. I also think John is going to be resurrected.

Death is only of the physical body we control.  It is so hard to tell someone what death is or what it can be.  Death is the start of the new beginning of who you are.  Whether you believe that you are going to heaven or if you believe in reincarnation, you are starting over somewhere else.

The body dies, but the soul never dies.  It/You continue to live in full consciousness either in heaven or hell eternally depending on the judgment of God.

Death is the new beginning of what is to come.  These bodies are just vessels for what we are moving to when this life ends and we move on to another.  Some people think of death as bad when others are not thinking that way.  I just think it is sad.

C'mon Vod.  You believe that because you've never seen anyone walking around after death, but others have.  Jesus spent 40 days on earth after rising from the dead so show the power of God and His power and dominion over death.  Death is unnatural because it was never supposed to be like this, but there is certainly life after death.  I'll give your guardian angel a shoutout and ask him to communicate this to you.

Death is a complicated topic. But my philosophy goes like this: balance rules the world. Once a new life is formed, another one dies. In this case, if you die, the following might happen:
a. You'll reincarnate into a new being (Note: I used the word being, not another human being.)
b. You'll move onto another dimension and enter in a world with different entities.
c. You'll go to nothing (Death Note reference, anyone?)

Though no one can really for sure.

The only way to find the right answer to this question is to die. But I think when we die we become a ghost. People will not be able to see us, well most of them. The only thing we can do when we die is to watch the people walk past you and see the earth continue to rotate without you. In a game, we'd be like a 'Spectator'.

After we die, someone else is born.  It is called evolution. As night follows day, as you say, the cycle of death is what gave us life.  How many people died before you, so you could be born?  How many sperm died in the race so you could fertilise that egg.

To imply that falling asleep and waking up means you are reborn after death is a leap into the creative imagination and completely unfounded in any kind of rational scientific context.

The soul is what gives the body life.  Once the soul (which is pure spirit) is created out of nothing by God is never dies although the souls in Hell wish they could annihilate themselves for obvious reasons

I find questions around death tend to be leading and usually the set up to address religion.
Speculating opens the door to be preached or lectured at and its just a matter of time. So knowing or believing are just lighting a match to a debate that no one can prove.

i don't believe in religion. but i do not close any doors and there are plenty of beliefs outside of religion. all beliefs are worth listening to as far as i'm concerned.

We are nothing but a matrix of electrical current which creates our personality.  When we die, that electrical current is now over and there is nothing we can do about it.  We all work differently, which is why you can not have 2 of the same person.  When you die, it is over.

I think at first, it's quite a thing to be afraid of. However, death is a natural part of life, it is an inevitability. What happens after we die? Is there an after life? It's logical for humans to fear the unknown, and death is the ultimate unknown. I think once we accept death as an inevitability, the anxiety associated with it lessens somewhat.

Some of you guys have been licking your boobs too much.  What is the point of carrying on if there is no hope for eternal life?  Those "stories" of the resurrection and the many miracles Jesus performed are from eyewitnesses passed down for 2000 years.  You have no hope in eternal life?  The souls in Hell have no hope of an eternity without suffering.  You have something in common.  If you want to believe in myths and falsehoods that is what Islam is for.  Breaking out the rosary for Vod et al

If you believe the universe was created by God, then you should know that there are angels monitoring God's creation - like caregivers you might call them. Satan has his own 'caregivers' as well - angels once in God's service who deflected to Satan's, thinking they will get a better bargain with him.

Now it will not be a wise thing to assume that man is just meat. This is so untrue, do you think the universe just came to be without a creator?

There is another dimension called the spirit dimension that cannot be seen from our own dimension. Scientists call it the dark matter, Google it.
A substantial part of space is made up of something that makes an impact, yet cannot be assessed. And it explains how the constellations remain in orbit, and why the universe is expanding very fast. Astronomers have repeatedly calculated that gravity alone is not strong enough to keep the huge stars in orbit, something else is responsible for this, and they named it dark matter. It can't be felt nor seen, yet it's mainly responsible for keeping the huge stars in orbit.

When we die, we enter into the spirit dimension, physically we can't be assessed, yet we exist. Do not be deceived by a demon that we cease to exist after death. Man is more than meat and bones.

Where we remain after death depends on which Spirit we spent our lives believing. Did we believe in Jesus or did we ignore him, this is what determines our final abode. You might scientifically say that man is made up of meat, bones and dark matter.

This dark matter never dies, the same way the constellations can never collapse.

Death imo equates to a Black Hole: a region of spacetime exhibiting such strong effects that nothing—including particles such as Light—can escape from inside it...ever.
