Title: Avalon batch 2 question.
Post by: Homebrewman on February 18, 2013, 05:37:15 AM
Hello everyone,

I apologize in advance if this has been answered already.

I am interested in purchasing into batch 2 tomorrow but need to know something.

If I am successful in placing an order how much time is allowed before I have to transfer the bitcoins?
I dont really want to hold onto $1500 in BTC if I am unable to order one tomirrow AM.
It would most likely day me a day or 2 to get all the BTC needed for the purchase.

I would like to long term have BTC to use but if I had to hold that much right now just to have a chance at a avalon unit it becomes a deal breaker for me.

Thank you kindly,

Homebrewman

I wouldn't recommend Avalon atm. Though for first batch you would of been earlier then butterfly labs. Butterfly lab atm is 60NM, which in return will be like 1/2 the size and 1/2 the power.
Much more efficient, and better design and technology.

http://butterflylabs.com/

If I was you I would order this one.
(60 GH/s Bitcoin Miner - $1,299 BitForce SINGLE SC)

I already ordered 3X60, and 1X30 :)
Because, I knew of the advantages in the technology.

I wss considering BFL but the shipping time they told be would be late May which is way to far away .

Has Avalon not produced any other products in the past?

Your too late, you missed the train stop. Batches 1&2 has all been ordered and sold out.
Batch 3 will long be in may or later. Its better now to head to BFL, as the times will be about
the same, but you get a more efficient mining device that's 1/2 size, 1/2 power and better design.

BFL accepts bitcoin, just place an order, and pay with BTC. And also its a faster order then other means of payment.
I used wire transfer, but that delayed my order stamp by a couple days. I highly recommend BTC.
