Yes there's value in all of those, check the exchanges for exact numbers.  As to whether they're viable in the long term, probably most of them aren't.   And there are threads galore about each one.

The list you have is the list of coins I instant sell.

I am only keeping LTC, BTC and Ether for now

I hold Litecoin, dogecoin and clam for a long time. Most of the time I do trading at poloniex. Buy those coins when the price was low and sell it when high. Nowadays I am interresting in ethereum aswelll and already had some of it but not much. Just wait what ethereum will be at the near future. Hopefuly this coin can survive for a long time.

DASH, DOGE, Blackcoin are ones to keep. DASH is innovative and will be around for a long time

decred, one of the clone of ethereum, or etheruem itself, and HODL i presume, also i would take in consideration spreadcoin, feathercoin not sure, despite the pump....

From your list, I would keep Dash principally, although it may be actually overvalued. Then I would closely observe Peercoin, Dogecoin and (perhaps) Blackcoin. The rest, in my opinion is not worth the risk.

Other interesting altcoins are ETH, NXT (but watch closely for latest development news), NEM and Decred.

Which coin to hold, accumulate or sell is always someones own decision. it's only about buying and selling at the right times :)

I'm also beginner in trading, so I can give you some amateur advice. First and second  is don't trust no one. Value of coins is changing almost everyday so you need to follow some trading site to keep track of all that coins and their prices.
You mention some coins, you need to know there is many more.

I think best thing for you is to go to trade site, deposit 10 $ and try to make fortune. Your interest and will in this matter will determinate your success. Good luck.

first you should explain to us about what you mean by saying collect? are you planning on mining and holding or is it some sort of faucet, free coins that you want to collect!

as for holding the coins i only suggest holding bitcoin as main crypto and after that litecoin since it is moving up with bitcoin.
all the rest i would only hold temporary

As I read the thread title I can give you what alt I'm holding right now and why I'm keeping it, I do have rbies,adz,gbt,creva and espers, all of this coins have a good road map, future goal and personal support coming from the developers as you can check their owned thread here you will understand why you must hold it, possibility for all those coin to be usable in the future.

That is true only if you want to participate in a pump and dump / short time trading.

Most coins are out there only for profit for the developers (which often cannot be called "devs" at all). They will be around some time and will have ups and downs, but eventually they will go down permanently. Nothing you would want to "collect" or "hold".

If you want to collect or hold coins for a longer time than, let's say, two months, then you should choose some with USPs like new algorithms or features that really solve a problem of Bitcoin, or at least, a continous effort to get e-commerce / fintech involved.

I could add Cloakcoin, it is very good price now. and lot of activity in main thread.
Their signature -avatar campaign is awesome. I don't know why price already is not 10x increased?!

Cloak is not p&d coin with still small community but it seems more and more ppl coming in to cloak so just matter of time if price go up. It will rise but not skyrocket like many hope. All what is good need just time for healthy rise.

top 5 altcoins after bitcoin for me are these:
LTC : has always been second coin for me
DASH : it is a solid coin that gets pumped now and then ;)
DOGE : to the moon (have nothing else to say)
CLAM : cause i like it
ETH: just to keep them in the game :)

by the end of this month the first position is going to be replaced by LISK and ETH will most probably removed from my list.

My picks: Monero, Ethereum, Neoscoin, Bitshares

Through Faucets its just dust, just so many coins. maybe just need to focus on a few

Litecoin.

For me, ltc dash. I also have emc, maid, but I am trying to sell last two.

Collecting from faucets are very time consuming. It is not worth the effort. So it is better to buy/mine directly.

I think I will keep some coins for the long term. They could be very userful: bitcoin, Ethereum, Monero and Boolberry.

My top five altcoin to collect is Decreed, Ethereum, Lisk, Bitcoin and litecoin, the latter is the pioneer of them all.

My top 5 altcoins:

Dogecoin
Litecoin
RAI (for a short medium period of time)
ClamCoin

I think that only Litecoin is one of the best altcoin...
Only ETH could replace such "top" position...

Dogecoin, Namecoin and peercoin are coins in that list that have a chance of making it

Seriously though, Ether and Monero is what i'm hearing on the street. But you want to wait until they are half price from here.

Blackcoin seems to have died, even though at one point every one was extremely excited about it. They seem to have stopped promoting it.

Gridcoin https://gridcoin.us and Bitshares are my main two altcoins I'm invested in.

at this point apart from bitcoin the next crypto that i am hodling is litecoin especially after the current rise i have sold some LTC and am buying it again a a slight lower price because it seems like it will continue to rise with bitcoin.

I think litecoin will be good investment as bitcoin is gaining pump and litecoin is also picking good volume, it is rising steadely. So it will profit to hold some litecoin till bitcoin stop pumping.

Next coin where i have invested is krypton (KR) ethereum forked coin with good and active developer. They are soon gonna launch blockexplorer.
They have also already tested their smart contract tech, they will also realease that soon. Next good think is lower supply they have which is only 2.6 million around in total. Find more in http://krypton.rocks

the only good Altcoin to invest today would be Eth and Dash, they both just added to BTC-e    :o :o :o :o :o :o

Many coins have good opportunity for such rise we can only remember in 2014 year, but LTC somehow
i believe have best chance for extra good rise because it is very underpriced for a longer time.

i agree with LTC rising especially because of its history but i think currently it has a rather unstable market, it can go sideways as it has shown recently. i have bought and sold a couple of times in the past days for short term profit and i think it is not yet ready for the rise.

For me my top 5 altcoin to collect are CBX, mrai, etherium, clams and espers those are my top 5. but only bitcoin is the only one that i want to hold for a long run..  but for the mrai has a problem about the block.. but i think they are still developing the mrai...

for now I am only thinking about three bitcoin only, ie LTC, ETH, and Lisk. I think they have good potential as altcoin

ETH and XMR. Thats it.
The only coins with a clear purpose, growing communities, demand and active development.

Everything else is usually more an obvious joke, hyped up worthless stuff, bought by newbies or guys too lazy to do their homework and research or those who intend to sell on the latter.

Been around crypto since 2013, and have tried more coins than I can count. Let me tell ya'...lots of shitcoins. The only coin one should collect are coins that are 1.scalable, 2.innovative, 3.not vaporware and 4.targeted for real use.  The only coin I can recommend at this time is XVC.

Everybody now investing in ico coins and neglecting rest of "normal no premine" coin which can be very surprising, im looking at those coins and some of them showing signs of accumulations. LTC is one of them.

For the premined coins, if the developers are active and the price of the coin is stable, it is investable for me.

Those coins is my top 10 listed coins that very good choice to buy because it is promising coin one maybe we can see it one of these days the price of it will rise and maybe it wi hit to the market because they have good devs that do hardwork to lift up there coin i want to add lisk but when i see its price and it turns very down at price so i will not recommend lisk
