Title: Snowball of Trust [Game/Experiment]
Post by: Ryland R. Taylor-Almanza on February 19, 2013, 01:38:28 AM
I thought the Circle of Trust game was kind of cool, so I made up my own! It's just a slightly modified version of Circle of Trust. So, here's how this one works:

I'll send 0.01 BTC to the first person to post their address below. Then they will edit their post and mark it as received then send 0.02 BTC to the next address on the list. The next person will edit their post and mark it as received then send 0.03 BTC to the next address on the list. So basically, once you recieve the snowball, you send the whole BTC snowball plus 0.01 BTC to the next person to post their address. If you keep the snowball for yourself, I will request that you be labeled as a scammer.

Only "Full members" and above can participate! If someone who has not become a full member yet posts their address, do not send it to them. Wait for the next full member.

Let's see how big this snowball can get!

Edit: The snowball has started (https://blockchain.info/tx/2e1b84379e952f35c56a6f3137f77cc3582eeff07aeee6295c9120688af1954c)!

I don't understand the point of the game. You can't win. You either lose money or get labeled a scammer. There is no strategy whatsoever. This does not meet the requirements of being defined as a "game".

It's kind of like that game where you put your money on the sidewalk and walk away and see if it's still there the next day. I play that all the time! Also, the BTC/USD rate was a lot lower when I started this.

This would be cool if it would keep going and going until there's like 20 BTC, but eventually the money would be worth more than someone's forum account, and all 80 or however many people would be out .01 BTC.

Exactly the reason why this makes no sense.
